Amazon Traffic Question.

Last summer I built an Amazon site promoting a name brand camera. I realized I have no real time to put any effort into this project. The site was listed on Flippa and did not sell . The site lacks traffic and needs help getting traffic. I have now decided I want to outsource the work on the site. I want to make it worth something down the road.
My question is would it be better to hire someone to run PPC ads for the site or add content to the site or just build backlinks ? Basically I want to get the best value for the outsource dollar. I'm on a tight budget at this time. Any suggestions welcomed.

There are thousands of ways to drive traffic:

    - PPC
    - Article Marketing
    - Forum Marketing
    - Solo Ads
    - SEO
    - Buying Banner/ad Space

The list goes on and on.

It is really not a good idea to run PPC ads if you are not clear what you are doing. You could end up wasting a ton of money and since you are on a tight budget that could be a big problem.

Cameras are also one of those types of products that are highly competitive and they change all the time. So by the time you rank for one camera another camera has taken it's place and your work may be wasted.

Is the camera you have on the site still selling well?

I would really take a hard look at the site and see if it is worth investing in.

If you have the name of the camera in the domain, I would move on also.

Yes I have the model number in the domain and was considering letting the site die. I figured I would try to sell it and of course that did not happen. I figured I would just try to push other camera's now and pay some one to build the site. It may be time to just cut my lose's and kill it.

I would recommend against outsourcing PPC. PPC can get really expensive really fast. I have seen Reddit ads for amazon sites be pretty effective so why not try adverting on Reddit. If you aren't trying to spend to much money then your best bet is going for organic traffic by building back links

I would stay away from the PPC just because unless you know exactly what you are doing you will end up with no results and wasted money.

If you are wanting to just get traffic to the site then the best way is ranking for keywords. I would start targeting all the long tails you can by writing content on the site that targets them. People dont ever think that the long tails will generate traffic but if you have a hundred of them you are ranking for then you can really start seeing results in traffic. Ranking for them first also gives you the boost you need in serps for the primary targeted keywords.

If you trying to outsource the whole thing then do some good keyword research and get some quality articles written for each one. Then have someone using a spinner (I suggest Best Spinner) to spin the articles to at least 80 percent unique and take the original articles and post them to your site. Then using all the articles you created with the spinner submit them to the Web 2.0 properties pointing back to your site. I would then link to those properties using UAW trying to create the downward flow of linking to your site improving your rankings in the serps.

If you have any questions just PM me.
