Confuse about Solo AD

Hello there

I make money online from 2009 but not in IM and i just wonder why someone with a list of x subscribers will sell solo AD instead send to his list affiliate product and make more money than selling solo AD ?
What i'm missing ?

Thanks

I have wondered the same thing, and I am a frequent solo ad purchaser. I believe that the reason is to build relationships and network with other internet marketers. Also, they are basically guaranteeing they are making money when they mail out because they are getting paid beforehand instead of relying on their list to convert when sending to an affiliate offer.

Selling solo ads generates a pretty nice additional income stream. If you can generate 500 clicks per mailing at say 35 cents a click, that's $175 income per mailing. If you do this twice a week, then that's an additional $1400 or so a month. And this is in addition to your affiliate offers, selling your own products, etc... not bad.

Ok i got the idea but how your subscribers will feel if you bombard them every week with these offers ?

If someone will send me over and over again offers to a squeeze page i will go away from his list no matter even if is Frank Kern or any guru out there.

I've found list owners offering the best solo ads only agree to mail free offers of value.
That way the solo ads help nurture their lists with little effort and guaranteed income

When selling solo ads, the person becomes a
traffic broker. So he makes money just by
guaranteeing clicks - he doesn't have to make
    money through sales.

And there's (technically) no refunds since the
    traffic was already generated.

That's one of the biggies, in my opinion.

I think you don't understand, you do not buy a list....you buy clicks.
