Creating your own Info Product

I have heard and read that the secret to online success is to create your own info product and sell it. Is it possible to create a info product if you don't have good writing skills or technical skills and have no money to outsource.

    Info products aren't just e-books...

If you can have a conversation, then you can record a video series. No camera? Do a screenshot sideshow video.

Pick a marketable problem you are passionate about, and solve it in a video series.

Alternatively, sell an audio recording of you interviewing an expert.

You don't need to write to get an info product.

    Get creative!

Hmmmm I didn't know that there was a secret!---- Anyway, on to answer your question,
Anything IS possible ok, you don't need to be a professional writer to pump out info products..because your not aiming for a New-york Bestseller aren't you?Now if your English suck and not understandable Then I would recommend that you improve your writing skills a bit. But as long it's comprehensible you should be fine.

Yes, you can make good money selling info products online you create.

I have a few money making ebooks I have created and sell online with success and I'm not the greatest writer in the world.

In a nutshell what you can do to get started with little to no money is to use OpenOffice, which is free to write and convert your doc into a pdf ebook and then to sell your ebook online simple create a free blog for it using Blogger or WordPress and create a sales page for your ebook and use PayPal which is also free to collect your payments.

Then to promote your ebook you can use your signature for example on this forum to advertise it for sales, but there are many ways to promote your ebook for sale, so you will have to look into your option and decide what works best for you and your budget.

    I hope this helps,

    Martin

You can interview experts in your field. A few hours later...voila! You have a product. You can get conference call for free. The mp3 is free. The zip file is free. You can host it a free blog.

The only cost you'll have is traffic.

      Good luck.

I know a few things about selling your own information product online. articlesforim and MartinBuckley are right on the money, all puns intended Now, if your writing skills aren't good, your technical skills the same and you have no money to outsource....no one says you need to be an English professor or a computer wiz or have a lot of money either, you just need to be ready to improve your skills....the money will follow. And in the meantime, do some research on how to do a slideshow video and audio recordings (not that technical). There are a lot of FREE resources, articles that can show you step-by-step how to create these and make them look like you do have those technical skills or that you had money to outsource the project.

You asked if it's possible....it definitely is. Use the resource you have now - the Internet....it works!!!!

A lot of great suggestions here and even though I have created and launched a few products that did very well, my biggest earnings have always come from my lists.

Once you finish a product, ask for a favor from a excellent English writer to edit it after.
To be honest, I don't mind if I see a few mistakes (unless it's nearly unreadable). If it get's the message across and does what it says it does, who can complain?

Best of luck for your venture

  • You can interview the people offering top quality content development services at rock bottom prices in your sig. Formulate two sets of questions...

The first set, with their answers, should provide your target audience a step by step guide in providing content development services at rock bottom prices. The second set, with their answers, should offer your target audience a step by step guide in acquiring such top quality content development services at rock bottom prices...

Format your digital info products as an audio transcription, an audio interview and a video interview. Once you sell your first digital info products, hire the people you interviewed to develop a written guide or tutorial. Hope this helps...

I am sure you do have some PLR articles/ebooks right? or at least look out for them on the net.

Once you decide on your niche and have gathered a few PLR materials (articles/ebooks) next is to read them.

After that, extract a couple of paragraphs from each articles/ebooks and mix and matched them into a new set of raw product.

Once this is done, you have to re-write the titles, headings, sub headings and the contents of your raw product to make it unique.

To make it even better, simply go to related forums, ezinearticles or yahoo answers and do some research on your subject matter. This is to gather more latest info about your book so that you can insert more values to it.

If this is done properly you can easily have a 100percent unique ebook within 7 days or lesser.

So when everything is done, it's time to set up your website and sales page and its ready to be marketed.

      Possible but not probable.

Are you saying no money to outsource or no money to invest in any part of the sales funnel what so ever?

At the end of the day, just having a completed product sitting on your lap is not enough.

Take yourself a step further - If I were to hand you a brand new info product would you know how you were going to promote and sell it?

If not, you should consider exploring being an affiliate first for someone else's product. If you can't sell someone else's stuff how can you sell your own?

The end product has to start with the end user/beneficiary in mind. What do they need exactly and how are you going to get it to them?

Knowing what they need determines the content needed for the product and the manner in which it needs to be presented (ie video, audio, ebook). Knowing where they are will give you hints on how you are going to expose this new product to them.

Only then can you determine for your particular circumstance if PLR is an option or if someone else needs to create the content for you.

Getting the product put together in the scope of the process is actually one of the easier parts - especially when you know your end user.

If you feel you have no skills to do this and you have no funds to outsource the skills needed then you are not likely to go very far - or it will take you a really long time to get there.

I'm sure it is, because I've bought a few products that had pretty bad writing and very few technical skills displayed. But if your product gets the job done and helps people, that's what counts.

You dont need great writing skills to write an ebook, when you write, write it as if you were talking to somebody face to face...talk to him explaining him what you have to explain him....that's all, and you can also as others have suggested, do videos or audios if you dont like writing.

A lot of cheap products are poorly written. How did they get money? They knew how and where to promote them.

But you can easily write a $7 report in a matter of a few hours and sell it. If you think your writing is not so good, then you just focus on the problem and give them excellent action steps how to solve their problem.

People want real advice, not fluff anyway, so give them it.

    Cheers,
    Ray

In my WSO (see sig) I explain how to make money promoting PLR content. So you if don't think you have great writing skills you could check it out.

That said, in my experience, even with the best marketing strategy in the world you will only get so far if the quality of content isn't there.

Well, what you gotta do is to roll up your sleeves, decide on what needs to be done and do it.

I know this is not the answer you are looking for, but it's the truth you need to accept. Most of us who have products went through a period of time where we learn how to communicate better - via writing, video, and/or audio.

You can get some seed money by offering a service here or on Fiverr. Spend some time online learning some skills - there is way more than enough free info out there.

If you want to make money, do what you gotta do.

Money isn't an object actually. Skill and knowledge of your field is. If you have solid knowledge and just aren't that good of a writer, write your own book have a copy editor clean it up for you. If you write badly enough, you might have to find a re-writer instead. Those are your main considerations, both product quality, and the budgeting.

If you are not skilled and/or knowledgeable enough in an area to write a solid, informative piece of work......then either get there or look at other ways to make a living. If you are just coughing up hash from everyone else's work, you're not gonna go far.

It is possible, but the question should be: Will you also be able to sell hundreds or thousands of copies?

When you create a product you almost always need to invest something. There're always costs involved such as proof reading, creating graphics, marketing, etc.

You can definitely still generate leads and make sales, but it will just never be as effective as if you'd have worked with the right people.

You should outsource all the tasks you're not good at and hate to do. Also, you should consider to outsource tasks for that you simply don't have enough talent.

Make a product creation plan, and simply get started somewhere. You'll learn a lot in the process.. and more importantly you'll make progress!

I wrote a book many years ago,, but the good old fashion way. (paper, analog) :-P
And that was just about my life and my hobby,,martial arts. So i think the best way to write something intresting and wortselling is to find a topic that drives you passionately.
And then it´s easy to promote it...when you really care for what you´ve done.
There are always customers who likes a good reading as long as you explain WHY they should read something. Good luck with the writing :-)

Got a bit swenglish there for a while :-D

There is no "secret" or "blueprint" to success. Everything takes consistent effort and investment of both your time and money. If you want to write a successful book, but do not possess the English language skills to do so, then your first step of action is to LEARN English. If this is an unachievable task, then you will need to of course hire a competent writer that can realize your vision.

As mentioned above, it is strongly recommended that you create something that coincides with your interests, education, and past experiences.

You will need to create a product and convince readers not only to desire, but to NEED it. Practice, patience, and persistence will lead you to success.
