    Hmmmm this will depend.

    See some guys will sell a PR4 for a low price and then once they get the sale they pull all their links off the site and your PR drops.


    For a genuine PR4 domain that you bought


    If you want to maintain or grow your PR on that domain:

    1. Use the WaybackMachine or similar to see what the original site structure and content looked like and put the same structure in place on your new site - you can still use it for PR blog network posting or whatever but make sure it still looks like the same site to Google.

    2. Build some incoming links to it from a few different sources - nothing spammy though or you risk a deindexing. Forum profile links are a complete waste of time for example

    3. Try to keep the domain with the same registrar as before - this helps at times

    4. Don't host the domain on the same IP as every other site you run - use some kind of SEO hosting package instead


    There's no reason for your PR4 domain to ever lose PageRank if you manage it properly.
