non hosted domain 301 redirect
Hi, I have a non hosted domain name on godaddy being forwarded to a domain that is hosted and carries a WordPress blog. The non hosted domain on godaddy has a "hidden forwarding" feature so if a person clicks on the non hosted domain name, that domain shows once they are redirected to the hosted site of the different name. I asked this question on the WF and got some wonderful advice, but I need to clarify two points.
I get a missing 301 redirect notice on the non hosted domain name and I would like to correct this for SEO reasons.
(1)Is there a way to put a 301 redirect on a non hosted domain?
(2)And can I avoid the missing 301 redirect notice by not "cloaking" or "hiding" the redirect and just forwarding the non hosted domain, since this may be easier for a non teckie like me.
