What's better? DemandStudios or Ezinearticles?

I have few questions about DemandStudios...

1. Can we have valuable traffic by submitting our blog to DemanDStudios? Have you ever successfully used DemandStudios?

2. Can we submit our articles to EZA also, if we submit our blog to DemandStudios?

3. From where I can get the most valuable traffic - DemandStudios or EZA?

By the way, I don't want to use DemandStudios for revenue etc. I just want to use it for syndication... As far as I understand, our content gets syndicated when we submit our blog to DS. Right?

Thank you so much.
Please correct me, if I have some wrong information about DemandStudios.

I dont think both can be compared to each other. One site is an article directory, and one site is a freelance site.

Plus... Ezinearticles alexa rank is around 315... demand studios is in the 16,000. Can you see the chasm in how much traffic both gets?

I think you'd get more traffic from EZA.

You mean DS is basically not for syndication? and what if I submit my blog to DS and submit my articles on EZA at the same time?

Yes, this is right. It's a completely different sort of site altogether. Nothing to do with syndication. It's for people making money from selling the articles, not for people using the articles to attract traffic for their business and selling other things. Articles can be a commodity in themselves, as well as a marketing method.

I don't quite understand what you're asking, here, Chris.

What exactly do you mean by "submit my blog"?

Your articles should be published on your own site/blog first, and indexed there, before being submitted anywhere else at all.

Ezine Articles is an article directory, so there's no point in trying to use it as a way of getting potential customer traffic to your own site. The last thing an article marketer wants is for potential customers to be going from a search engine to an article directory, rather than to our own site/blog: we all lose most of that traffic. This isn't what article directories are there for, at all.

I offer two posts which will (I hope!) clarify the whole thing for you, and they're posts #2 and #6 of this thread:

Alexa I understand what you are saying. I learnt all these things - especially from you posts - that we should publish on our own site/blog first. And, I am doing this...

Yesterday, I just went to this below link of DS.

          demandstudios.com/freelance-work/bloggers.html

I am sorry if link posting is not allowed... This above link looks like they are talking about syndication? aren't they? And, if they not then can't we use DS and at the same time submit our articles on EZA also??

And, they are allowing this too that we can publish articles on our own blog first... (as far as I understand)

And, I don't want to use it for selling my articles or revenue... They got my attention because, according to them, they send quality traffic and new visitors.

          Now, I am little confuse.

Demand Studios hires writers to write for them. The content written is used on sites such as Livestrong, eHow, Answerbag etc. This is not the place for YOUR links. Links that you would use their would be non competitive, authority sites that they allow. They have articles list for you to choose from, you do not choose your own. These may be on things such as "How To Build A Hot Dog Cart"

EDIT: I just looked at your link and it appears they are doing things differently now with allowing blog submissions where you can include your links and byline. I did not realize they had added that.

It appears you could get a lot of traffic from it. Since they are actively sharing your content as opposed to EZA, I would think you could get a lot more traffic with DS.

My guess is you would have to have a high quality blogs and blog frequently. Since it is free and you can stop at anytime, you could always try it out.

DS forbid you from submitting content that you've submitted elsewhere. I don't know if they are strict with it, because I've never submitted a blog, but there were a lot of people who complained in the forums a while back about getting cut from the program.

I'd go with EZA. That's meant for syndication, and will drive traffic.

  • Maybe you can experiment and try submitting some to EZA and the other to Demand Media and compare which is better? I do know that Demand requires anything that you submit and publish to be exceptional quality.
