Your Very First Dollar? :)

Making your very first dollar online is probably the most important and also the most memorable moment in anyone's IM career.

You could go up to anybody in the business, no matter if they make just a few dollars or a few million... if you ask them about their first sale, their first dollar online, you're met with nostalgic faces, glowing smiles, big memories. It's the moment when all this becomes real, when all this becomes possible, when you really get this vision of 'I can do this'.

How did you make your very first dollar online? Where were you, what did you do, how did you feel?

Maybe by sharing our stories and seeing everyone else's glow, we can shine a light for all the newbies or folks who are still expecting this magic day

To start right of... the day of my first sale, I was 21 years old, in college, mostly just kinda bummin around lol.. I woke up one morning, turned my computer on, and had an email in my inbox.. an email I didn't even expect I'd get. An email that said I had just made my very first commission from my very first affiliate site I ever built. And it wasn't just one dollar, it was a commission of $119 for a health product someone had bought through my site.

I was ecstatic, I screamed, I could hardly believe it. And I felt like I was walking on clouds for the rest of the day lol.

How was it for you? How was your very first sale, even if it was just a cent?

Let us all know and let's all be excited together

Well for me, it is not so much about that first sale from my first idea. It is about my current situation. I have been blind twice, lost use of my right leg once. During all of this, my business was born on a kitchen table.

I'll never forget after a National Press release the events that happened. I was dead tired from working 12 -15 hours per day in my factory.

Just as I was about to sleep, my BlackBerry started dinging, once, twice, three times. . . It just kept going off.

That night I made over $1,000.00 in sales. It really blew my mind. My company is now expanding into other provinces and hopefull the USA market.

Whenever I hear someone say, "I have a headache, I can't do it. . ." WOW! That gets me angry.

How? I had a really GREAT press release. The results BLEW me away. In 10 days I pulled in about 16K. My products sell well. It's not hard when you put your mind to it. ANYTHING is possible. Here I am on National TV in Canada. http://watch.ctv.ca/news/#clip581635

    • Bought one system, and one system only. I applied the methods, and after 5 gruelling months, I made $32.86.

After dancing around naked, I worked harder on the same method. I basically made reviews of products on Hubpages back in 2010, because they were easy to rank in Google. Once I made my 2nd and 3rd sale, I realised this stuff was legit. Haven't looked back since.

It really is about sticking to one method, seriously. It's been mentioned 1,000 times but it's so true.

It was almost 4 years ago, back in 2008 when I received 2 dollars from neobux.

Last month I received my first clickbank check, a small amount. Now I'll get decent funds from an "investor" and if my plans goes right until the end of year I'll be making few thousands per month.

My first online dollar was from Adsense on a site that I built when I was 15 or so. I really wasn't that excited about it. I unknowingly picked a niche with a low CPC so it took a lot of clicks just to earn a little bit. I wasn't really too excited about that.

My first excitement from making money online came from Clickbank. I made $19 from some cover letter creator software. I had spent months writing articles, doing SEO, etc. and it had finally paid off. I still have that first sale picture on my cell phone!

My first dollar was selling an ebook on eBay with resell rights when you were still allowed to do that. I believe I was 17 or 18 at the time.

Like Mike, I wasn't that excited about that first sale. The one that got me excited was my very first sale on my first ever info product - a guide to setting up an automated ebook store on eBay. It took me weeks and weeks to write and I also had to set up an Aweber account to go alongside it (something I'd never done before). A LOT of my time went into that very first product so it felt really good after all that hard work to get a reward in the form of my first sale.

I was really surprised by my first buck online.

I'd made money with ebay before, but that didn't count (it was just getting rid of random stuff around the house).

Nope- my first IM money came from promoting one of those Cafe World ebooks.

Unfortunately, I started promoting them harder and never really got many sales. Even though I had a decent sized list, most of them were just freebie seekers- go figure (playing a free Facebook game)

It was more than a dollar - and was an ebay auction.

Perhaps the easiest way for anyone to make something - especially with the free auctions today.

Mine was a fluke. I was a super pure noob then when I "anyhow" wrote a "review" for a clickbank product on a web 2.0 site. Next day I made a sale out of that "review". From that moment, I knew that it is very possible to make money online.

It was years ago. Working online started as a game. I was fresh out of school, and din't have anything to do with my free time. Well, there was this SEO guy who wanted ads posted. The pay was very low, but I din't know that then. I posted some 100 ads and got about $7 or so, straight to my bank account. That was my first step.

I started just over a year ago in the business. I made $3800 in my first 10 days. I was so excited and couldn't believe how easy it was. Went full time about 3 months after that.

Anyway to answer your question....I celebrated. I took my wife to the beach. We went to Play del Carmen, Mexico for a week. (I made another $2000 while I was at the beach. I couldn't believe I was "working" using a computer while sipping on a Margarita.) I felt like a little kid on Christmas

I love this business. Great Thread.
