Clickbank - Pen names? they asked 'who is PEN NAME'

Do clickbank allow pen names?
my check- payee name is the correct name, for me to be paid too.

They asked "who is ****** " - where ***** is my pen name.

What should i tell them?
If i say Pen name, wil they be cool with it? or do further questioning ?

Tell them it is a pen name.

Ask them if they need a DBA for that.

Please take a look again at ClickBank Signup Form
    https://www.clickbank.com/affiliateA...ignup.htm?key=

    There are:
    - payee name, which will be your name or your company's name - if you have one;

    - account nickname: ClickBank mentions "the account nickname you choose will be the "ClickBank ID" for your account. It will be visible to the customer every time we sell one of your products, and will appear on the memo line when we send you a check. Keep in mind that the account nickname cannot be changed once your account has been opened."

Probably a good idea is having as nickname your pen pal (or your domain name).

You should check with ClickBank too.
    Success.

I haven't done it myself. But I know others who do.

Clickbank won't have a problem if you use a pen name, you just have to put it in your disclaimer on the site that the name used is a pen name.

Yes they do allow it, I have used a different Pen Name at Clickbank to list a product.

I used my actual name and personal details to complete the application. No trickery. It's my impression that this practice is actually kind of encouraged, that's why they ask for a nickname to associate with the product.

I have different products, in different niches, under different pen names. Just the one on CB, but the idea makes sense. It would be hard for Anna Kowalski to be perceived as an expert in 20 different niches (or 30, or 50 or more).

But, Anna Kowalski, just happens to have a whole team of experts to cover each and every niche. See what I mean? It's like branding a pen name to that niche.

One other thing, if you ever want to sell your product website, it's easier to transfer the pen named expert to the new owner than it is to transfer your actual name after it's branded to the product.

    Good luck with it

Another Warrior sent me a Private Message regarding this thread. I'm happy to respond, however, I only just joined yesterday. So I can't respond via PM. My Help Desk is at AnnaKow.com/HelpDesk You can contact me there if you would like. In general response (and to save you some time). I put my product up on CB in 2010, so I'm sure the application you make reference to has been updated since then. My advice is the same always: just Be Honest and if necessary, call them or somehow let them know what's going on. I don't think it's sneaky or something to hide, it's smart really. And, certainly CB has encountered this circumstance thousands of times before. I hope that helps, but contact me anytime is cool.

ClickBank has very recently changed its policies, in this regard.

For vendors using pen-names for a product they submit for approval, they now require open disclosure of that fact on the sales page. The information given in post #6 above is correct.

I'm pretty sure they mean that you simply have to state openly on the sales page that the product creator's name is a pen-name. The last few people who have listed products there, recently, under pen-names, and have "reported back" here about it, have said that no more than that was required: they didn't have to give their real names, only to state that a pen-name was used, as I understand.

ClickBank themselves are the best people to discuss it with, though. They do have an online chat facility, as well as phone numbers, email addresses, etc.

      No - it's very different.

ClickBank Nickname (ID) <--- explained here

If you buy a product through an affiliate, you know how at the bottom of the order page it says "[Affiliate=FredBloggs]", or whatever? That's a "nickname". It's your account-name. (For both vendors and affiliates).
