Chitikia advertising?

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is just me -- or if it is what other people experience.

I have a website that was doing google adsense, but heard 'good' things about chitika, so wanted to try that out. However, ad revenue seems to be 'capped' at 11 cents per click. Is that just how they do things, or will it ever be higher?

Because, although google does have ridiculous lows (i.e., $0.01/click), it does periodically have nice highs (i.e., $1/click), and overall my google revenue seems to pay off more than Chitika. So wasn't sure if maybe chitika had a sliding scale, or just limited to $0.11/click (in which case it is obviously more worthwhile to go with google).

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

I'd like to know this as well?

I just applied to Azoogle Ads. Looking to replace Adsense I think.

Chitikia has an interesting engine that will show contextual shopping and other ads based on the refereeing search engine keyword to ad an in your face Ad block to search engine visitors.

Its great, however the earnings with it were not that great
so what we ended up doing is write our own script to show an extra block of adsense to SERPs visitors and dropped the Chitikia

We have done this, it all depends on what you are advertising / content on your page. Some pages we have only pull 0.01 to 0.03 per click via adwords so we saw an increase to 0.08+ via chitika, however our chitika clicks have never gone above 0.11 per click so if your page is orientated around a word thats adsense "friendly" i.e. its worth a bit then there is no point in changing it.

Ah, ok, thanks. Good to know.

Yes -- my advertisements seemed to be "capped" at $0.11/click, whereas with google I was periodically getting say $0.25/$0.50, $1, etc... I guess time to switch back to google adsense.

I haven't ever got more than 11 cents per click either.

I tried it on a few sites recently after giving up on it months back and still am not impressed. It's not worth trying in my opinion although I like the concept of the ads being targeted to what the searcher typed into the search engine. Great idea - bad payouts.

Thanks, well, I've decided to leave chitika and try a combination of adwords with clickbank.
