How To Attract Affiliates?

I get good results through Google Adwords, but you have to ensure you not only have a great commission level for affiliates, but you should also have a great affiliate portal with instructional videos/pdfs for your affiliates to take in.

You can either do it via PPC source like dadamson said, or do seo and attract the affiliates with a good commission.

i will let you into a little secret which hardly no one uses

if you want to build your list up full of buyers for free and have lots of affiliates promote your product then do this:

go to google, type in your keyword

change the page to show 100 results so less messing around

scroll through and open in a new tab every single site that you come across that have an opt in form on there site (you know they are building a list)

email all of them and give them a free copy of your product then tell them if they want to send it to ther subscribers they can have 100% of the commission

you will build your buyers list by spending no money

also if you have a good funnel set up ie, an upsell or downsell you will still make money on the back end even if your giving 100% commission on the front end

this strategy can be adopted IN ANY NICHE

its simple but it works, and if you offer people a free review of your product within your niche they will appreciate it very much

the better your product and the more value your product gives then the better this method works

ive just saved you tonnes of time and money lol

If you're looking for another free source of traffic and trying to raise your profile then consider writing a press release and submit them to PR directories or write some articles and submit them to high page rank article directories. Also consider being active in your photography niche related forums and actively participate there and place your affiliate programs benefit in few words in your signature with your link.

Is your product easy to promote?

Do you give affiliates any guidance? Articles to use? A keyword list with PPC ideas? Pre-written emails?

Do you have a vendor profile set up with info like conversion rates, refunds, etc.?

These things help invite affiliates.

The fact that you're offering favorable commissions is a good thing, but also think about what else you could do for them.

You could do lots of stuff... Offer them the product in exchange for a review.

So not only are they getting 70% commissions, they are also getting the product now... See where I'm going with this?

Think outside the box. Look for blogs within your niche and contact the owners directly. Build a relationship.

Then when it comes to bringing out your next product, you've got a pool of JV partners who you've already built a good relationship with who will be happy to promote for you again.

It may seem tedious at first, but it's all about leverage.

Offer generous commissions and make sure YOU actually sell your product and it converts.

Main thing is to make sales yourself - if you can't sell your product most affiliates will not be able too either!

Launch a WSO and you will have affiliates asking to promote your product like crazy!

I would find niches related to yours in clickbank (but not exact) and see if they have a list, and tell them your product will go hand in hand with theirs.

We have done this over the years with some great results.

I would like to give you some tips:
- Find complimentary sites
Complementary sites are a sites that sell products or services that compliment your offerings. If you sell gardening tools, a site that sells books on gardening tips would be a perfect affiliate. If you sell software, try looking for sites that sell computers or computer parts. Finding sites that already attract your target market, and can benefit from recommending your product or service to their visitors, is the goal.
- Find content sites
There are many sites that do not sell any kind of product or service but are mainly content-oriented sites. Such sites promote an idea, concept, study or belief. Content sites that are used as a resource for your target market are ideal affiliates.

A second tier program can be a great bonus for potential affiliates. It can provide affiliates with an ongoing stream of revenue while allowing them to concentrate on other marketing efforts.

Giving 100% commission is more of a list building tactic. Affiliates will be happy if you give them 100% commission. Yes, you lose some $$$ on the front end. But when you build a large list....you earn $$$ from the back end products =)

The money is in the relationship with the list!

Facebook ppc is also good way to promote affiliate links apart from that stumbleupon.com and forums are valuable place to promote affiliate inexpensively.

Post a text, or banner ad in a photography focussed ezine! This will target the type of people who would be interested in your offer!

The main profits are in the backend plus other offers that is why.

I would first, figure out, where to place the affiliate tab. If its easy to locate, then your going to have more people clicking and registering.

After you set that in place, figure out what incentives to provide with how to promote your product/service. Create, a system "save.yourself.time.energy.money" and you`ll want more then the average results. People need proper training, and if it easy to get, it will spread quickly.

Give a better commission, and they will jump right at it. You are building your list in the process which will certainly benefit you.

Quick question, I have got some products at CB with their max 75% commission but have had very few affiliates sign up. If I moved them to digiresults and made the commissions 100% what would the increased interest be on the part of affiliates? I know there are many factors involved here, but I am beginning to wonder if the digiresults affiliates focus in a major way on the commission percentage.....

If you are using gmail I suggest to set an alerts about your market. By doing so, it will be easy for you to find people and webmasters who happened to be interesting about your deal. You may also maximize the power of social media to advertise and meet potential partners.

To sum it up, a vendor "should" give high commission payout (100% is the best) for fast list building purpose. Of course, one needs to prepare some upsells or backend offers to earn some $$$.

It's a matter of networking and relationship between a vendor and another product owner.

Firstly the actual product or your service does matter, so make sure you have a good looking website with easy to use navigation and order process in place. Affiliates are in this business for a reason and they can see a high or bad converting offer by miles! Often merchants are forgetting about how important their role actually is!

• Do you know what are your top 5 competitors are?
  
• Is the commission you are paying competitive enough when compared your program details to your top 5 competitors?

Very good way to find targeted affiliates is by searching your competitor brand + reviews in search results. Let's say your main competitor is called 'Brand Z', go to the Google search and search for Brand Z reviews. This way you will find sites that have already reviewed your competitor offers and can be considered as targeted affiliate base that you can approach.

Offer affiliates a product sample if needed!

What you definitely shouldn't disclose from looking at is the cookie length. Keep in mind that the longer the cookie used is, the more affiliates it will potentially attract!

One of the main things however affiliates usually look at is the EPC (Earnings Per Click). If this is something you are struggling with. Make sure you work on your website conversion improvements or increase commission for important to you affiliates.

If your main affiliate recruitment is done by manually contacting affiliates 1 by 1, make sure you experiment with your subject line in the email and the actual content that comes with it. Sometimes very short and straight to the case emails work a lot better than longer informative emails.
