Google blogger.com question

How long would a 1 page blog last, if I pinged it once, then just let it lie. Would the post (page content) on it be archived out of sight eventually?

Should I use wp instead?

I don't know about other search engines but if Google doesn't see that the web page is not updated, it usually lowers the value of the homepage.

However, why don't you test it out and let us know the results you get.

Not sure why you would want to set up a Blog mane just one post and leave it dormant?

Blogs are by their nature popular with search engines because of their dynamic and regularly updated content. An evergreen Blog will always out perform a dormant one.

As Roosevelt said in his response it would be interesting to gear what your results are once you experiment with this

Blogger has gotten where they don't like keyword squatting so they might delete a one-pager that doesn't have links or value on that basis.

Without links a site is going to be dead in the water so it doesn't matter which platform you use. But, if a one page site has good links it can sit unchanged for years and still rank well.

I'll see what happens. Yes, there're 2 links - to very good sites. I could run a webpage instead I guess. I'll check with my tame guru
