Which Is Better Practice...?

INTERNET MARKETING

Not sure which would be better here in terms of accessibility for a large amount of people...

Should I send my subscribers their bonus email opt-in incentive through a link to a hidden wp page, or should I simply send it as a PDF attachment?

Orrr... perhaps something I haven't yet considered..?

I always think it's better to send them an email link to the download page, myself, partly because I think more people will prefer that, and partly because I'm not sure what proportion of the time an email with a PDF attachment will reach people's inboxes. (And I'm not even sure I'd know how to do it, anyway ...).

Attachments from people you don't know freak people out.

Large attachments raise red flags with spam filters.

Avoid attachments and send a link to a hidden WP page or better yet a stand alone page on your server.

I would avoid sending attachments as well - a lot of people will not open them in case they are malicious. And if you send subcribers to a download page, you get them used to clicking links in your emails, and you can show some other offers there as well that they might be interested in.

A download page is ideal as if the e-mail doesn't get sent out, it is easy to resend.

It is also better because it allows the downloader to interact with your website while they get the product, so getting other products or getting on other lists of yours.
