Do you think gambling niche can be profitable if you are a beginner?

Is it true that its one of the hardest niches to get into?

    Are you passionate?

    Are you tenacious?

Can you write...or do you have access to a good writer for this niche?

It can be difficult, but success requires hard work anyhow.

    Do you have keywords?

Have you selected a business model?

Are you prepared to invest necessary time and money into your business?

Ask yourself these questions, because irregardless there is some type of competition.

    1) Are you going to build another typical joe website? Or a authority?
    2) Are your skills up to par with writing, as with copywriting.
    3) Are you willing to learn new skills?
    4) Do you have a marketing strategy?

These are all the elements you need for your website to continue to moving forward.

    Hey adamanton,

There's a lot of laws and restrictions in the US when it comes to gambling and these make it quite difficult to operate a US focussed gambling site.

However, I've seen a few soccer betting sites in the UK that do quite well by offering tips for the specific games and then using their affiliate links when people go to place the bet.

    Hope this helps,

    Tom

Unless you own a Casino then the answer is NO!

Forget all those casino and poker affiliate programs. They used to work but people is alot smarter now and Big names has already branded themselves so you wont make a living through that unless you're a good poker player then maybe you have a chance at the WPT next year.

  • Gambling in not completely dead. You just have to be persitent and willing to work hard. Like some of the previous posters said, you will need to make sure all of your writing is of good quality. If you cant write, hire someone who can. You have to make sure that your website and products stand out. Think in terms of the visitor "what does this site offer me versus any other?".

I've found it almost impossible to get gambling traffic. I've ranked page 1 for 'casinos online', and I'm currently page 1 for a major casino site, just below their own pages. I'm lucky to get 10 visitors a day,and converting them is proving to be a once in blue moon thing.

      • Hi all

I haven't been around here for awhile but figured I'd stop in to see what was going on and I came across this thread.

I've been an affiliate manager in online gaming for 7 years and I can tell you that yes, people make money with it, even newbies. In fact there are affiliates out there making more money per month than I make in an entire year - and that's just with one program.

The online gaming industry is one of the only affiliate industries that pays residual income and at such high percentages of on average 35% and sometimes even up to 50% of player losses. If you think about that, all you need is a couple of regular players and you could be making a mint.

I'd be happy to give advice or answer questions for anyone thinking about getting into the business who is unsure.

Feel free to get in touch

        Cheers

It's competitive, but there is a piece of the pie for everyone..

Have you worked in our industry?

Yes, the gambling niche can be profitable even if you are a beginner.

It's one of the niches I operate in with a UK based service and I do very well.

You don't say whether you want to get into it as an affiliate or a product creator or service provider etc, but....

Like most other niches, you will get out of it what you put in.
