not to be sarcastic or anything but what makes you so important that someone want to hack your accounts. Because for all 3 places to be hacked in a few days seems like you just cant figure out your email or password yourself. Any reason why?.

I honestly have no idea...

And I know all my account and pw info. I just started receiving notifications that they were being changed.

Yeah. Not MSN though, the account recovery process is....senseless.

PayPal I had to call them and they helped resolve it and got my money back.

FB too was an seamless process.

Serve this as a lesson. Be vigilant the next time around. Don't open sites that you really don't know. Don't open executable files that you don't know.

Use noscript. Use a good antivirus.

And more important, format your computer to make sure nothing malware/virus is left.

Yea I had to learn the hard way with a similar incident on an old computer. I brush it off as my own fault because of me freely downloading any and everything without taking precautions and having the necessary protection. Learned my lesson and now have 2 antivirus and malware protection software runnung. Very glad I did. Come to think about it, I think its going to expire in a month...gotta renew..:p

I'm using Norton 360 and Mcafee security center. Norton 360 has a identity safe and login password protection feature for all your logins on any internet page you go on and saves it for you with your own encrypted password embedded in the software. Comes in handy especially since I can't remember all my different passwords. I've never had a problem since and I do download quite a bit even things I really shouldn't . Anytime I do come across something fishy, one of the programs lets me know and corrects it for me whether I'm just browsing somewhere unsafe or downloading something. As far as an already infected computer, I'm sure these types of software can remove the malware and what not but the thing is even then the computer never is really the same so to speak. You have to clean the registry and deal with a sluggish processor and can become a pain either way. I opted to just wipe out the hard drive by either reformatting it or getting a new one all together. Either choice has solved the problem completely for me numerous times. The only thing is you got to make sure you backed up the things you really need that way you can just transfer it to your new or newly formatted hard drive. Yea it can be a pain as well but I got all my important data that took a while for me to gather and I got a clean PC.

Yep have the same problem here have had my FB Poker account hacked 3 times in the last week

have made all the right security settings changed the password 4 times and still the buggers get in and remove all the money I had in poker (280 Mill)

I have used malwarebytes on all my drives and found zip, so I am thinking of starting new FB account

It's really common with FB poker. People take it stupidly seriously, and so many people get their accounts hacked playing those games.

Most of them find if they stop playing the hacking stops.

Rebuild your computer. The people saying stop downloading files don't know much. You can get a rat/virus from clicking a link without executing anything. There's really no way to protect yourself.

No, You can not stop a dedicated hacker or team of hackers. Neither can the US government, the military, credit card companies or even antivirus companies. Heck, hackers hacked in and stole the code to norton antivirus....

But you have to do the best you can. And there are some ignorant posts on here about getting hacked. There are a million ways. A SQL injection can get a hacker in and then a keystroke logger can get your login and password to everything..and they can disable your antivirus or install a fake to make it look like its doing its thing... the list goes on and on.

I think actually ur computer is hacked....thats why the hacker hacked one by one all those stuffs...clean ur system 1st...ur system might be infected by keylogger trojan...IMO

Use a one-off (never used for anything else) email address and a one-off password for each account

Use something like https://www.grc.com/passwords.htm to generate your password. If you don't want to use the entire generated string, just use a portion but preferably a minimum of 14 characters.

Avoid registering for any third party requests using your Facebook profile as this may give them access to your FB email. Example: Marketers love to get access to your FB profile as they know it's a real email address. But once anyone other than you has that email address, it's no longer secure.

Scan your computer with more than one program, e.g. Malwarebytes, SuperAntiSpyware, Spybot S&D, etc. plus a couple different anti-virus programs (only activate one at a time) as there is no single program that catches everything

You can also invest in something like QFX Software - Anti-Keylogging Software and More to protect against keyloggers

If all else fails, format your drive and start clean.

Use only sftp or ftps for remote file/folder access and only ssl/https where possible (FB, Twitter, etc.)

They could have a private keylogger on your system that the antivirus doesn't know it and it sends them everything you type..now you can do format / system recovery to install a new system but how can you protect your self again? Antiviruses and Malware/spyware scanners do not fully protect...

The only way to do it is by setting up notifications on your email and facebook..I wrote a guide on the warriorforum on how to do it , I wrote that guy on how to protect your domain from getting stolen, now in your case you don't need to setup the send an sms each time u login, simply put remember this computer.. ofcourse after you do a fresh system install...

Besides scanning your system and cleaning it up, be sure to remove the Administrator rights on your windows login account and assign a "limited" account rights to it. MOST (not all software) require administrative privilege to install and edit the registry in windows.

It's doubtful that anyone would care enough to hack all of those accounts and change the password. Is there anyone in your personal life with access to your computer that might have a reason to do this? Are these accounts active?

Yes it has made me learn to regularly scan my computer and also download some form of protection.

It just puzzles me to why this is suddenly all happening. It's scary that someone is actually aiming me.

I hate freaking hackers. I want to hack their fingers off. Totally a-holes. Going to have to secure things up more. keep up with backups. hackers are such dicks, and you can't really do anything about it. I sure would like to get some revenge though. Makes me want to learn hacking techniques to protect myself. Getting hacked can kill you.

Start by changing the password recovery question(s) for you email. If they can answer that (possibly by using the info on your FB page), they have access to everything that you use that email for.

Also, make sure you check the secondary email that you have listed for your primary email address. And if you don't outright change that, at least repeat the 1st step for it. If they have access to your secondary email, they have access to your primary one. A lot of times, people still have an old email listed as their secondary email. And since they haven't checked the secondary email for a long time, that email account has been deleted. In the case of Yahoo and MSN, ANYBODY can come in and create a new account using that same name now. And then they can reset the password for your primary address as a result.
