The Newbies Guide To Getting Started...

Here's my advise to all the newbies lurking on the warrior forum. I hope my post today will be of great help to them.

It can be increasingly overwhelming to go through the entire forum reading every thread as most people have various different opinion about how a proper internet business should be run.

Truth is, a lot of people are very right...only that whatever they suggest might not be a 100% solution to your problems.

This is because there are various different ways to do things. There are various ways that people achieve their monthly income and every suggestion then seem confusing.

Noticing that, i have come up with what i understand to be the core building blocks that you should focus on..

When you focus on these core principles, you'll be able to get clarity, you can sift through the clutter and then use what is important and will work with your plan.

So here we go:

There are four major building blocks and here they are...

Niche Selection

This is when you look for a need that you can fill. There are niches and there are sub niches. "Premature Ejaculation" is a niche, "How to last longer in bed for 30-45 minutes is a sub niche of premature ejaculation.

"how to lose weight" is a niche, "how to burn belly fat" or "how to get rid of love handles" is a sub niche.

Truth is, you can drill it down and down until you find just one problem that you can solve.

There are many ways to select a niche. Some individuals use what is called:

1. Google Keyword Tool or some kind of keyword spy etc

2. Some others lurk around in forums/blogs/on newsletters that target various niches

3. While others just look at what they are extremely good/passionte at and has a potential for problem solving.

All in all, my advice is: There are three evergreen niches, they are Health, wealth and Relationships

Drill down into the above three and drill down into sub niches and you'll be able to come up with a valuable one.

Whatever you do, ensure you go into a niche that you are comfortable in and has a potential for making money. This is VERY important.

Product/service Creation

You need to start producing. If you spend all your days reading and reading on this forum, you won't take action whatsoever. Once you have a niche, start creating a product. A VALUABLE product.

The products could be:

1. A 10 page Report

2. A 30 Mnutes Video

3. A 40 minutes Audio

4. A combination of Videos and Audios etc

5. It could be a blog where you churn out great posts.

Irrespective of what you think, there are lot of people out there who are happy to hear/read from you.

And just in case you think you are not good at creating a product e.g writing an E-book or doing an Audio/video etc, let me shock you;

You are!

You just haven't tapped into that potential yet. Irrespective of whatever you think, you'll only get better at product creation by creating and creating...every new one you create will be better than the old one...

Few weeks ago i ran into the first E-book i wrote on my hard drive while searching for an important document and guess what, i laughed at myself.

It was not as good as what i'd create now. Which simply means.....my statement above is true. The more you create, the better you get.

Just ensure that whatever you write...its of great value and that it solves a problem.

I once read a 2 page report on this forum and it was of great value.

Remember, you know a hell of a lot - don't forget to use it.

Traffic

There are two major ways to get traffic, they are:

1. Free Method: These include SEO, Viral Reports, Word of Mouth etc

2. Paid Methods: Solo Ads, PPC, Media Buys etc

If you want instant traffic within 24hours, stay away from SEO. Its not what you need. But remember, instant traffic will cost you money.

You can get instant traffic from Solo Ads within 24 hours of getting the vendor to send out an email. You'll get instant traffic if you promote using Facebook ads. But these cost money.

If you want a long lasting traffic source that is inexpensive to acquire. Then you should absolutely do SEO. With SEO, if you are smart enough, you'll rank in search engines and have consistent traffic to your website.

NOTE: If you outsource your SEO, it wont be free. Also, if you do it yourself, you'll need to spend the first few weeks/months of active study to make it work for you (depending on how much time you spend learning it)

List Building & Conversion

List building is king. Its one of the most important aspect of running your online business. If you are starting out, ensure you start out building a list. Its very important.

i strongly recommend using an autoresponder like getresponse or aweber (i use getresponse myself)

I currently have a list of 4800 and it is growing every day and i can tell you that i wish i started earlier.

Whatever you do, absolutely learn the below:

Traffic ==> landing/squeeze page ==> Autoresponder ==> Email marketing

NOTE: There are various variations to the above, but ensure you focus your energy on learning more about the different aspects and see which one works for you.

They are very important irrespective of whatever niche or type of internet business you run.

All in all, remember, the only reason why you are yet to make any money is because you probably dont have a problem you are currently solving online.

Solve a problem that people are desperate/willing to pay money for by identifying a niche/subniche....provide it in form of products/services like E-book/videos/softwares/newsletter etc

Drive traffic of people who need your solution to their problem using the appropriate method of traffic and afterwards convert them by using your autoresponder and series of emails.

If you do the above...your chances of succeeding will be greater.

So STOP reading now...and go take action.

Thanks for reading....

Thanks for that. Experimentation (also referred to as split testing) is VERY important........as you stated.

The only way to know if it works or not is to try it.

A great guide Tunity filled with lots of solid information.

Good to see you emphasizing the importance of building a list - I think this is something that people often neglect in the beginning but shouldn't... And also just to echo the point that some people think that they have nothing to offer and couldn't write an ebook - everyone can, you just have to "take action" and you will do it!!

Every newbie should build a list. if you are a newbie and you don't have money to buy an autoresponder, go find a job that will pay you for a years worth of payment for a good autoresponder.

I remembered paying for my autoresponder a while ago and the cash was from a simple html website i designed for a friend. At that time, i was just learning html and he paid me for creating it.

You could join affiliate programs and place banners on your site. Just try and figure out what visitors to your blog might be into. Like dating or how to make more money. Those are things just about anyone might click on. Also you can sign up for free at a site called regnow.com where they have tons of offers with free trials that you can promote as an affiliate. I'm sure you could find loads of stuff in there that visitors to your football site would get free trials for and end up buying.

Just a few ideas. Hope it helps

This a good thread but one major thing that is missing is business model/ sales funnel website development/ backend system. Ok I added some more stuff but the core step in the first post is a great starting point.

U have to develop a presence online and your website selling your product is just that, so it has to be streamline, u want to have your first product out there selling while u develop more product to sell to your customer list u will be building.

With a solid business model like product developer model lets u create your own brand for selling which gives u leverage and every product is an asset, just like the list you will be building as well as your websites.

    More to come but later

I agree with you that there is more to it. I only drilled it down to the basics because i noticed a lot of newbies are quite confused on which way to go.

I was once a newbie and i know how difficult it was with trying to cut through the clutter.

This is a great little resource for newbies. I would like to say you need to stick to one thing. Several years ago when I got started, I tried every new shiney object that came out. I blew thousands on my credit card with nothing to show.

    FOCUS IS THE KEY.

without focus, and without taking action you have nothing.

Build a business, and a list, and do not just try every method that the gurus keep plugging you. Look and watch what they do, and do the same. Reverse engineer them, that is how we took our business of about $100 a week to five figures a month.

Great post Tunity. Yet even so still... most beginners will ignore your advice and try to come up with something that is better than the good plan that you have drawn up above. Like David said, add backend marketing to mix... along with a continuity product each month, (along with a seminar each year)... you can make major bank online.

Glad to kno this has been really useful for you. If you are a good writer, i am sure you can make money writing articles for warriors. There are lots of people who earn between $10-$45 per article they write on this forum.

If you write quality article, you can earn that much
