This is the way I do it (I don't know if it is the best method or not, I have figured it out myself)

1-Type your article (or copy/paste) into the word processor.

2-Color in blue the text you want it to be clickable.

3-download "CuteWriter" ( a free software) you will need this software to convert the word file into a pdf file.

4-Download Foxit Reader 5.1 (it is a free and light version in comparison with the pdf acrobat reader) (this pdf file reader will help you to make your link clickable). Read through the manual, it is very easy to find how to hyperlink a text inside a pdf document.

      Hi IMwarrior

      This way works for me:

      1. Type your article in Word (I prefer the formatting/layout of Word but you could just as easily type it in Open Office).

      2. Open your article in Open Office (it's open source aka free) and add your hyperlinks by highlighting your keyword or phrase and selecting the hyperlink icon from the menu.

      3. Save it as a PDF doc in Open Office

Then you are good to go.

I also add social media buttons to my articles.
