I have a website that get over 600 visit/month and i dont know how to convert the traffic into money because i dont know more about the niche. I will like to sell it, i was thinking either to sell the complete website or just the domain. Which do you think will get higher price? The revenue from the website is small.

Depends on your site because you can use adsense or you can promote amazon/clickbank products..

With a very small revenue, you probably won't get a lot for it, but I would sell it with the website instead of just the domain. If someone wants it for just the domain, they don't have to use the site.

ok, i have been following some of your post on this forum. You seem to know more about selling website of flippa. do you think flippa could be a good place to sell this kind of site and secondly, how much do you think i can sell this website? it does less than $5/month... although the traffic has started to grow.

I would take it as an opportunity to learn more about traffic conversion. It's harder to do, but in the long run very rewarding.

This is the meat of marketing online in my opinion and is a very valuable skill to have.

having a as site with regular visitors will really help you develop this skill though split testing.

In America anyone can go straight to the top. And here's what's exciting- It is the bottom that is crowded, not the top.

Typically if you can prove income potential even if it is not getting that now and you have quality content on the site most of the time you will make more money by selling as a website versus just selling the domain name. The fact you are getting traffic and income is a good thing...keep increasing both and you will have a winning situation.

    Good luck

try running adsense for a month or two before selling. not really worth much without some proof of earnings.

it can be worth a ton even with no earnings. the site could make only $5 a month and still be worth $500k. it just all depends on what the domain is.

You can probably get around 50 dollars, maybe more, depending on how much unique content you have on the website. You can definitely make a good amount of money on the website if you generated some income. A good place to look at sites with no revenue that are selling is flippa. For the domain, it depends. If the name sounds marketable, has keywords in a popular niche, or has some history and/or existing pr, you can get a nice amount for it. If you provide bonuses such as backlinks and free hosting, you can add more value to the domain. If you don't mind the listing price (19 dollars) and are confident that you can get someone to buy the site then Flippa is a good choice. I've had mixed results on Flippa. It seems like a lot of people are looking for sites that make income on Flippa, but that's just going by my observations.

The content on the website are unique and the website has over 300 keywords on Google and the domain is just a year old. althought the domains is a .org, but i saw the .com online priced at $1300.

I wouldn't sell it "just the domain" and I'd definitely try to listen to the advice given above and use it as a great opportunity to learn about traffic conversion. You could try things like adverstiments, affiliate marketing, CPA, whatever. It's a perfect opportunity to learn while earning a few bucks.

Besides, you'll always get more for a site if you can show proof of earnings. You can expect anywhere from 10-12 times the monthly earnings when selling your site, so for example if you're making $100 monthly, you could actually sell your site for $1000 or so.

So my advice is: DON'T SELL IT JUST NOW! It could be worth so much more to you! Try, test, tweak, and THEN once you've made money with it, sell it at a higher price.

    All the best,
    Edward

The domain is a keyword domain but the exact search volumes isn't high like 300/month but the broad search is over 18000/month

I have tried every marketing technique but they dont seem to be working. The best thing is to sell it to someone that can monetize the traffic better so i can go into other things.

Get a new domain name with .com instead of .org

    that's my suggestion

the .com is already taken that's why i went for a .org, from my experience .org does better in health niche, although .com will always be king
