Using Wishlist and Optimize Press?

Hey Guys...

I am at the moment creating a big product that I want to deliver as a monthly membership site....I heard using amember with Clickbank can be a nightmare to set up....So I decided to look at Wishlist....BUT the problem there is I have created a lot of content presented on an index page template I had created originally with amember in mind...

I also looked at Optimize Press to create the sales page and content presentation pages....then I thought can I not still present the monthly content on the original index pages via Wishlist...as a micro continuity model!

You see I was told you can't use Wishlist as a membership site WITHOUT Optimize Press...can anyone help me out here?

    Not true.

    OptimizePress is a WordPress THEME that controls how
    your WordPress pages look.

    WishList Member is a WordPress PLUGIN that controls
    the access to WordPress pages on your site.

    You can use them together or independently.

    But they BOTH need WordPress as the content
    management system.

      Hey Shaun...

      Thanks for that...I watched a 3 part Wishlist video tutorial on how wishlist works...but it didn't explain if I could s create links to present my content on personally created index pages per month from the members area like this example here....

      Instead of using Optimize Press to create the presentation pages..in other words use my own edited mini sites instead of Optimize Press...hope that makes sense?

        The pages you have already created are plain HTML
        and outside the WordPress environment.

        As far as I'm aware, WishList Member (which I have)
        can only be used to protect content created within
        the WordPress content management system.

        Therefore, you'd need to place your content within
        a WordPress site and use WishList Member to control
        the access.

        (You could use any WordPress theme you wish of course).

          Star man thanks again for your help...I've decided to purchase Wishlist...AND Optimize Press..I'll just order the header graphic and build the sales and content pages with that...kinda lost money on having mini site created BUT no worries part of the learning curve....

          AND I could always use that in future if I sell the whole product as part of a firesale...OR bonus...John.

            That is a great answer from Shaun, I'll be going with Wishlist and Optimize press to, i'm a newbie though, and not sure which to download first, I picking its Optimize press, cheers Verity
