Renting traffic from youtube videos

So, this method has come up in a few different reports I've read.

You find a youtube vid, related to your niche... ideally, someone who has no clue about IM.

Offer them a few bucks to stick a few links on their video... or buy their chanel, if its an option.

So, what's the best play here.

I'm thinking, a cpc deal.

If you offered someone $5 for every 100 clicks... would that fly?

Anyone doing this, tips?

Cheers

No way mate - don't mention clicks or anything IM jargon...

Just send them a friendly, casual message asking them would they be interested in allowing you to put a link in their description box. If they reply then offer them the cash - 20 bucks is my limit and I never mention "renting" unless it is a video that I'm sure will send me a lot of clicks...

Try getting it for 10-20 bucks initially and if all is going well by all means drop them an email and give them a few more bucks. If they're not IMers this will suffice for the most part

Cheers dude, so, $20... for how long?

What about a cpc? Using something like bit.ly

Forever hopefully Seriously, it'll depend on each channel owner. You might come across someone who has no clue of IM or the power of a description box link. This person is often happy for a quick buck and will forget about your link and leave it there indefinitely....

Then there is the more savy user - they may not be in IM but they know what they have is valuable. How much to pay them and how often I'm not sure....It'll really depend on how much value your able to get from the traffic it creates...

If your sending it to a Squeeze Page and see, for example, 20 sign ups per day (600 per month) then offering this video owner a decent few bucks each month won't be a big deal cos you'll hopefully see that value ten-fold in your list
