Google AdWords question

I posted this question the other day and my post is nowhere to be found! So I'll try again.

We pay for Google AdWords every month, and our ad comes up on the right side of the Google search page reasonably often. It comes up on the left side of their page quite often too, the side of the page we are not paying for.

I am wondering if it's worth the money we pay to them to appear on the right side when we already come up on the left, free side. Will we still come up on the left if I should cancel the AdWords? It gets expensive and I am not sure it's worth the money if we will still come up on the left side of the screen.

    Where does your traffic come from? Is it clicks on the left or the ads? Are you tracking them? If not, you should be!

    Also, what keywords are you ranking for in the free listings? Consider deleting those from Adwords so if you are on the left you are not on the right and vica versa!
