Does anyone use "Clickbank alternative sites" or are you sticking with Clickbank only?

I still use Clickbank, but there are obvious problems with CB. Am curious if anyone here is using something else. And if so, what?

I have no "obvious problems" with ClickBank at all, but I'm still uneasy in principle about earning such a high proportion of my income through one company, even though it's been established longer than Google, never missed a payment due, and all the rest of it.

I like Amazon, too: the conversion-rates for targeted traffic can be absolutely enormous: the well-established reputation, as almost always in business, is a colossal asset.
I know what you mean about relying on Clickbank for a large portion of income. I think being affiliates gives us a little advantage over Vendors. If we really wanted to, we could switch to a different company, and be selling a similar product the very same day. Not quite as easy as that for Vendors.

I think the FTC are going to crack down hard on Clickbank in the future, it just feels inevitable. Lets just hope they wipe out the small portion of Niche's that give it a bad reputation, and keep the genuinely good products.

I'd feel so much more comfortable if the MMO/Forex niche was completely wiped out of Clickbank. I know not all of the products in these niches are complete rubbish, but it's these niche's that give Clickbank the bad reputation.

FTC has so far cracked down on networks which were scamming people out of their money and it was impossible to get that money back. Clickbank on the other hand has such a free flowing refund policy that it's literally impossible to get scammed.

Even when you do end up buying an overhyped "Make Money Online" product, you can always go back to them and get a refund if it didn't work for you. So clickbank has a very strong case in favor of them. Customer is always treated as the final decision maker in every single transaction.

Or else, FTC would have already cracked down on them by now.

I think you're both completely right (GoodnightSweetRatRace and Ryanman) and I agree with every word you've both just said.

I strongly suspect that even with ClickBank's commendable (and very helpful!) attitude to refunds, at some point it's really going to embarrass them to continue to have "gross income claims" on the sales pages of stuff they retail. And eventually that surely has to change, one way or another? For everyone? Even for ClickBank, with their refund system.

They're certainly getting stricter, in some ways, with what they accept now ... though there are clearly many non-compliant issues from earlier times ...

To add a bit further to it, clickbank represents itself as a company which processes payments for vendors. So in short, all they are doing is processing payments. They aren't the ones taking part in any scheme which might be scamming people out of their money unlike the other networks FTC cracked down on.

All the other networks were in one way or another personally involved in creation of fake sites, income claims etc. Clickbank isn't. All they really do is process payments.

And yes not only are they stricter now but they are also keeping a close watch on customer refund requests and chargeback rates. Any product with a high refund or chargeback rate gets the stick.

    What kind of problems?

Also, the issue is that there are some networks out there but none of them have the massive database of affiliates like clickbank does. Therefore, clickbank still remains the market leader.

I'm referring to using Clickbank as a vendor, not as an affiliate. As a "vendor", is anyone using anything else?

Sticking with CB and JVZoo myself as they have lots of good affiliates and tracking.

    commission junction.

PS- I had money in clickbank, but because it wasn't at the threshold for a pay out the money sat there. After a few months they started deducting money for fees, cost, etc.

I'm not happy about that and will be changing out my links soon.

In America anyone can go straight to the top. And here's what's exciting- It is the bottom that is crowded, not the top.

Clickbank is well established has an open refund policy which I bet saves them a TON of problems.

However the main 'pull' of Clickbank is the size of the affiliate network.

There are plenty of other payment processors and affiliate networks but I have not seen one the size of Clickbank and as well established.

I have a fair few products on Clickbank and although they do have their problems (don't get me started on the tracking issues).

Think if a network were to come along that would offer stable tracking for affiliates and vendors that would be of great interest.

I think we are moving away from "cookie" tracking anyway.

However to answer the question, Yes I am sticking with Clickbank for the time being.

I believe in having multiple streams of income as affiliates. A combination of Amazon, CJ, Clickbank makes sense to me.
