I much bigger chance of your blog becoming huge

I've been reading a lot of stuff lately about ensuring your blog becomes huge.

Sadly, there is a big chance that it won't happen. There is just so much out there already.

I read about a pretty cool thing that could help new blogs build a big enough momentum to carry it forward.

It's all about teamwork.

I can't remember who said it but the idea is that a group of new bloggers join up and help each other along.

Comment on each others blogs, encourage our own readers to check it out, etc.

It's basically using a team of maybe 10-20 of us who will work together, making the chances of us all making it even better.

I was thinking about starting a post in the JV forum. I just wanted to hear what all the other warriors thought of the idea before I did it.

Yes teamwork is important only as long as the whole team understands the concept of providing awesome value. A blog won't become big unless it offers extremely high value content. You can't have just anyone and everyone in the team.

Not a bad idea, but you really have to have complete "buy in" from the entire group; and, the entire group has to provide value for each other.

Not to mention, there should be some value to the website/group owner (proprietor, mastermind) who is providing this service to their guests.

Would you pay to be a member of a site that gathered together other like-minded people to encourage comments on each other's blogs? What would be YOUR incentive to comment on someone else's post, other than hoping that this individual would do the same for you?

That's the thing: there would be no main person.

It's just a bunch of people with the same goals helping each other out.

It doesn't need to be links etc. If someone tries something new and it works, they can share their idea.

If someone finds a helpful article, they can share it.

It's more of a group mastermind, maybe on something like ning.

WF is good but not exactly focused on bloggers, and there is no mutual help through tweeting posts etc.

        Hi y'all

This is exactly what we're doing in the private coaching that I've joined. It works like crazy. When people visit my blog they can see all these comments left on it and it increases the perceived value of my blog.

I would definitely join something like this if started through this thread.

Ah yes 10-20 people commenting on each others blog for a long period of time. If they do not provide value to the Blog, Google will figure this out.

Erm, I'm pretty sure that a 'blog comment pyramid scheme' is not exactly what fin had in mind. Need to see the bigger picture here. Just my thoughts.

I like the idea too. The nitty-grittys could be worked out, I'm sure.
