How to Apply Leverage
Here's a power tip I learned from a real pro a while back...This is called "external peer leverage".
Let's say you're using the off line cash cow method, have created a niche site for your area dry cleaners, and are mailing out post cards to 10 dry cleaning sites, with the hopes of landing one account from the 10 sites.
Apply some serious psychological leverage by actually NAMING all the dry cleaners you have sent your offer to.
For example, add something like:
In addition to you, I have sent this offer to you and 9 other dry cleaners in Hometown, and I'll only accept one:
This puts a ton of leverage on each business...If they don't order, not only are they missing out, but their competition may win. Not ordering from you is one thing...But not ordering and having their "hated" competition "win" is an entirely different matter.
Give this method a try. It's simple, but powerful, and I'll be a coke it works on a deep, psychological level.
