Got any US/California tax tips for travelers?

I've been overseas since Sept, not for business, but for pleasure. Working on my internet companies from hotels, motels, hostels, cabins, shacks, tents...wherever I can get a reliable internet connection.

My accountant seems a bit confused about tax laws related to deductions when I'm working out of a hotel room but the purpose of the trip isn't business. So... I'm looking for a new accountant.

But, in the meantime, I'm hoping some Warriors have tips on business accounting and taxes for folks like myself that work internationally online.

Cheers!

Yeah, unless your trips are related to your business, you're not going to have any deductible expenses.
A home-office deduction is hard enough to qualify for. Hanging out at a beach villa on your laptop accessing your web sites, isn't going to cut it.
