A question about affiliate site strategy?

Wanting to get started doing some clickbank affiliate work. Driving traffic my sites via articles blogs and video marketing, etc.

I am also looking to get some good organic results for my squeeze/sales page. I'd like to have some relevant content to help with rankings and an opt in for a free bonus etc.

I's it more common to do aff work with a combination sales, squeeze page than separate squeeze and sales pages. In the latter they would be routed through double opt in then my sales page, then the affiliate providers sales page. Lots of hoop jumping.

I think I'd like a sales page with a slide in or pop for the bonus opt in. I'd like to simply have my thank you page route them into the affiliates page and let them opt in for the bonus later and subscription confirm. It seems to me this would be the better option?

Finally does anyone have a good example of a sales/squeeze page that is seo optimized so that I can see some good technique?

I'd like my am planning on using my blog with an autoblogger to automatically update relevant content using yaab auotblogger so that I can add updated content automatically. This would simply point back to my sales/squeeze page.

Does this sound like a good method, am I missing anything?

Thanks
