I have a vbulletin message boards on one of my old sites that only had about 50 active members. Then about 3-4 months later I checked on it and I have over 6,000 members all which are from spammers that have over 8,000 posts.
Now I really dont care about this site becuase I'm about to trash it anyways but has anyone else had this problem? |

That happens all of the time if you don't keep those bulletin boards updated. There are a lot of spammers out there that use automated software to find and spam vulnerable blogs and bulletin boards.

Yeah I never updated the script on it or really did any managing of it. Even if you update the script I am assuming that would still have to ban or delete spammers from time to time though right?

Yes most definitely. That's why most bulletin boards have moderators.
