I'm still subscribed to the ESPN magazine, but that is the only one I have stayed with since 2009. Anything else I want to read is available after a few mouse clicks. The magazine is a dying publication.

I do. I have a daily newspaper delivered and get around five magazines mailed to me. Then again, I'm also the sort of person who loves reading and can never have enough to look at...

I subscribe to multiple print magazines, and will occasionally buy others from the newsstand. Some of these are used for writing projects, as a magazine's content and advertising provide a quick and dirty guide to reaching its target market.

I still read a few mags, and I read the newspaper
mainly for the Sudoku puzzles to keep my rain sharp.
Reading's going to keep going, but the internet will
    maintain it.

I get my local paper each week and several magazines. Most are cooking magazines but I get a few others as well.

With cooking magazines it helps to be able to bring them into the kitchen with me while I cook. I also love just being able to lay on the couch and read magazines.

I do and probably will until they figure out a way to get those cologne samples in a tablet.

Seriously, I'm little sad that print media is going by the wayside, I still like to read paper based magazines and books.

I read Sunday's Sacramento Bee to study the ads. You can pick up some copywriting tips from those ads and save some money.

I like print magazines also. Because I am a crafter, I like to have my magazine with all the details on how to make something in front of me. I think how to magazines will still be read a lot, however I can go to freepatterns.com and download a pattern and instructions, but it is nice to just have a magazine to read and relax with.

From my inside knowledge of the media industry, I can attest to the fact that circulation of most printed media is going to decline drastically over the next few years.

In fact, it is already down based on 5 years ago.

It's not the place to invest in advertising. Instead, focus on getting good, true and exciting new stories to these publications and focus on getting them to print an article for free.

What about ads in free shoppers you find at the supermarket? You know like Big Nickel and other free shoppers like that.

I subscribe to 9 or 10 magazines and love it when they come in the mail.

I tear out stuff that interests me. That suits me more than bookmarking pages, which I hardly ever go and look at again.

When I am reading print magazines, I look at just about every full-page ad. Online, I never look at ads at all. So I think the magazines would rather keep me as a print subscriber.

The next time you are in a bookstore or an airport, take a look at the magazine rack. Magazines are still thriving.

        • I can't remember the last time I bought a print magazine or newspaper.

Newspapers in this area are free.

I imagine people still buy magazines at airport gift shops to have something to read during the flight when you can't access the Internet inexpensively. I haven't flown in 14 years, though, and when I take the train I'm almost always connected to the Internet.

I buy newspapers if there's an interesting article in them, but I don't do this very often. I do prefer reading news in newspapers rather than online.
