Theres so many 'best ways' and 'this is the best products for you' methods/techniques being advertised across the website am i the only one that feels like im being pulled from one new method to the next to have your online business get noticed?

I understand you need to choose just one seo method or ppc etc but how do you know if its the best for you and your business? You can do it for a few months focus on nothing else but its just not worked? Back to the starting blocks again..

Example, If you had a gift shop selling a variety of products from clocks to parachute jumps, what method would be best to advertise it across the UK? ranking tools, seo, etc etc.:rolleyes:

When I was starting out my biggest fear was to invest my time and effort into something that didn't work. So I jumped around from thing to thing and successfully wasted more time then I would have otherwise. I know what it feels like to be lost and not know who to trust. Now I put products together to help people with exactly this issue. My best advice is find something that you know works and stick at it.

    Hope this helps

      Hi Kange,

Alright, since I know just how frustrating starting online can be... Let me just pull a hair out of my head for you.

Let me just start off with this - approximately 80% of the methods out there are crap, untested and unproven socially-driven theory. (According to the 80/20 Pareto Principle analysis)

So you have a business offline, and you want to get noticed by potential customers, correct? Your customers have a specific group of wants, desires and are in need for a specific solution that you can provide, right?

Let me tell you then - the most important thing you must do as a business... Is to gain leads, and to capture them into your sales funnel.

Let me repeat that in a more Internet Marketing gimmicky way - You only need captured Traffic, and to CONVERT that traffic.

      HOW?

You need an autoresponder which will help you capture the EMAILS of your prospects, because if you have the emails of your prospects, you can contact them - any time & anywhere & for anything you want. Make sense so far?

Then as you vacuum them into your autoresponder sequence, you send them a few emails to verify what kind of solution they need - or you send them irresistible offers that your business is offering to customers just like him/her.

      -----

      That's all you need.

      -----

Wait - If you want to totally explode your business and send its profits on fire, you need GREAT advertising. A business without advertising is like a chicken without legs. It can "cluck", but it cannot run. It's like winking at a girl in the dark.

For starters, hire a great copywriter - you may even get one in the Copywriting forum in the WF right here, or you can search locally.

Second, once you get the copywriter, get him/her to write copy on your business website, or even your email sequences and sales pages for your offers. Make sure you make a very good investment under good research. If you pay a lot for a bad copy, the letter is going to bomb.

If your offer is not "great" in the first place, the reason why your letter bombs under the hand of a great copywriter is because it's not attractive to people.

      ------

Then once you have this system that converts traffic into buyers ready... you start harvesting traffic. That's when you worry about things like SEO, PPC or whatever you call it.

For new businesses, go with PPC. The ROI from PPC can supercede your profits - you need to find out the percentage of people channeled from PPC who bought your products... And find out if PPC is profitable or not. Then scale it up.

Traffic? Now seriously, traffic is easy. You just need to worry about setting up the whole "Traffic > Buyers" part.

        Hi
Great post thank you. Just quick question, how do you go about getting an autoresponder and what will it do? I have a shop on an e-commerce package will it still work?

    Kange,

I think my reply to this thread http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...free-gift.html might be of help to you. You apparently already have your topic/niche, so you can focus on the autoresponder part if you want. An autoresponder is simply a tool that will send out a series of emails from you on your behalf rather than you having to send each person a whole bunch of emails yourself. Basically it saves you time. When someone is interested in what you have to offer, you give them a chance to "opt-in" to your "list". Opting in means giving you permission to send them emails. Your "list" is the list of people interested in what you have to offer.
If you had a list of people interested in dog training, they might also be interested in other dog related products like dog grooming. Sending people you know are interested in dog training information about parachuting doesn't make sense, because you don't know if they are interested in it. If you send too much unrelated information, they will "opt-out" of your list, meaning remove their permission to send them emails. This is the basic concept behind autoresponders and lists.
Your shop and ecommerce package would not be affected by having an autoresponder series set up, you would only need to add an opt-in form (that you get from the autoresponder service) to your existing website.
I hope this helps clarify things for you a little bit.
    Good Luck,
