Ad Sense or Affiliate?

Hi All,

This is my first post!

So I have been investigating internet marketing and have discovered my first niche and I am constructing my first website.

However I am unsure if I should go with affiliate products or ad sense or a combination of both?

Thoughts / comments

Thanks

G

I feel that its a little easier to do "affilate" than "ad sense" but thats because I like affilate programs, its more my taste! Ad sense needs a great deal of traffic, when affilate programs just need a list or the right way to promote it to get some converts!

    Thats just my opinion!

You could try some split testing and see what goes better for you.

That means you could first place adsense ads and then affiliate links and see what does better.

    You can do both.

If you ask me. I think you should focus on creating simple products that answer just one questions.

But if that's not your cup of tea. I would say adsense it takes time if your using the search engines.

But you can easily build an adsense website by but just simple doing the following:

    Put together a blog

post one post a day on it

What you want to do is the major keywords you are targeting just post them as pages. Then you want to create post to build links to those pages.

If you want to get more links, which you should create web 2.0 sites and place 100% unique content on them and sent links back to your pages and post.

Also just do a lot of guess blogging

those are all you need to rank well. Don't mess with thing anything else.

You can use the same strategy for affiliate marketing

IMHO. Affiliate programs all the way.

For starters, A&A websites are great (Adsense and affiliates), you should try both of them and see where you get with that. However, once you have enough traffic, don't limit yourself to these strategies alone. Build a list, create your own product, set up jVs, etc... The real money is there, not in A&A

There's no reason you can't do both.

Then a month or two later, look at your earnings and let that be the guiding principle on which direction you take.

I would focus on affiliate programs than going adsense. Thats how I started anyway. But yes, don't limit yourself to just one and like Cataclysm mentioned, let your earnings decide.

    Affiliate! Forget adsense. Seriously.

    Dont do both.

    Thats just me.

what is the point of diluting both efforts.

you are neither here nor there.

Adsense will hurt your conversion rates, and for what? for pennies!

and not to mention having the risk of your adsense account banned.
So there goes your pennies too. [did i spell that right? it looks like the male organ. lol!!!!]
