Need good advice from BIG earners on SEO

Hi guys, this is my first thread on this site, so please be easy with me

So basically I have been an internet marketer for 8 months now, and I haven't made any big money worth talking about but an ok amount. Now my first sites were all on googles 1st page with huge amounts of traffic, but my success has slowed down quite a bit now, I would love to hear from other people on their most effective SEO techniques, because mine don't seem to be very effective any more.

Also, how do you research your keywords? what tools do you use, is it worth investing in those fancy keyword tools or should I just stick to Googles Adwords? Thanks in advance!

In this day and age, simply focusing on SEO alone isn't going to keep your sites ranked. You need to back it up with solid content which will help the end user. I made a thread on this some time back - http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...lue-offer.html

Totally agreed ryanman, I read the thread and its true, the thing is, I do HEAVY amounts of research into my topics, and I have a great deal of content, what i'm starting to think is that maybe the topics/products i'm building my sites around have far too high competition for me to compete in. What would you advise me to do, assuming I have good quality content on the site?

Sorry, I am not a big earner, yet.

Consider SEO techniques from the SEO/adsense forum.

Don't forget marketing using social media, videos, etc.

It's what you do when no one is watching
that determines what you will be able to
        do when everyone is watching.

If you have good quality content then people will share your site themselves...Think of it this way - Have you ever seen a youtube video & felt an inner urge to share it with your friends or post it on your facebook wall just because it was that awesome?

Now when your content is really that good, people will naturally want to link to it, they would naturally share it on facebook and other social sites. You won't have to worry about competition as you offer something they don't and that is solid content.

People make good money selling to the rich. But the rich got rich selling to the masses.

Um... ha. I think that's a little like starting a band and playing really great music and then being asked for play that music for your friends and they'll naturally promote it and you'll go viral and happy endings for everyone!

The truth is that even if your content is amazing, you have to promote your work. If you're not on YouTube, if you're not on the 2.0 sites/Facebook/Twitter, if you're not guest posting on relevant sites in the niche and getting a presence on forums, AND you're not investing in some professional SEO for those highly competitive keywords... then you're not doing it right.

And you don't have to do all of these and you don't have to do all of these for long. But you DO have to do them.
