301 Re-Direct for the first time
For the first time, I'm needing to redirect one page to a new page. I switched to a new theme and messed around changing things too much, and now the url of my domain goes not to the new homepage, but to a "page not found", that does, however, have a list of my current posts and pages and tags.
So, I installed what looked like a good plug-in (for the latest versions of wordpress), and followed the directions for doing a 301 redirect.
Nothing is happening.
Is this supposed to be instantaneous or do you have to wait a certain length of time for the new page to show up?
Is there anything else I should be doing, like with the sitemap, or whatever?
