Affiliate marketing - Digital vs physical, which do you prefer?

I've always preferred physical, idk why. Also the refund rate is much less. But then again, the commission rate is much lower with physical products.

Which do you prefer?

I've preferred digital products so far...Also, refunds are directly proportional to the value it provides. Some physical products have a high refund rate too.

Digital. They say physical products have higher conversion rates. I have yet to see a dime of that money.

It varies from niche to niche in my opinion. Both of the ones I have entered right now actually give me the flexibility to use both. It really opens things up to a wider audience when you can service different needs with different product types.

A better question might be - 'what do your customers prefer?' Sell whatever your market demands.

So far, I have had a lot more success with physical products. To be fair, I am not sure that many of my target niches really demand digital products.

The few niches that I do promote digital products in, also get higher conversions on short reports that I sell (mainly little $7-$15 reports to build a list)...

So it may just be that most of the niches I have chosen so far have a target audience that prefer physical products, because those niches do not respond as well to the short reports.

I can see the points for physical products for sure...low refund numbers are great, digital products and services often have payout options that either don't take this into account for payouts or its negligible..at least in my experience

I've almost exclusively stuck with digital. I think it works well with the demographics I've tried to target in the past...something to consider here...women are huge online shoppers, yet not so much online subscribers in comparison...

I guess since I'm a male, i also tend to look at the net as an instant gratification/information factory not a catalog for ordering stuff...so digital all the way
