Anyone have clickbanks ear? + question

Researching which products to promote through clickbank is frustrating and time consuming. The one thing that is missing (unless I've somehow missed it) is the ability to hide products.

When I'm deciding what to promote I look through the products and check out the products site. Most products don't meet my standards and I'd like to be able to hide them so I never have to see them again. It's impossible to remember every product I've already checked out and I end up checking the same product multiple times.

This could be easily solved if there was a "hide this product" button - the opposite of bookmarking it.

In other clickbank issues my analytics has been strange over the last few weeks with the numbers often changing a day or 2 later. Anyone else have this issue?

I'll often check analytics and it will tell me x # of clicks for a day and then when I check it the next day the number is a fraction of what it was.

Also my sales over the last 2 weeks has fallen dramatically even though my traffic has steadily grown, and the traffic sources are the same. I'm a little confused about weird analytics and dropping sales.

I don't pay too much attention to CB's numbers. The system is a bit of a mess.

I do like the "hide product" idea!

This all goes for me, too. That would be quite a convenient idea.

Yes, great idea. I hope someone in a position of influence might take notice.

The stats automatically pull up the last 14 days. The days that fall off from the 14 days will subtract from the total. It sounds like you have gotten more clicks in the past then in the present.

No, what I'm saying is if I look at my # of clicks today for yesterday (March 26th) I'll see x number of clicks. If I look again tomorrow the number of clicks for March 26th, or any specific recent date, is sometimes different (always lower).

I'm not talking about the rolling average of clicks over a 2 week period, I'm talking about clicks for a specific date changing from day to day.

Indeed, I was getting more clicks in the past than I am now, but my traffic is actually up (from the same sources) and my clicks and sales have fallen off. That coupled with erratic analytics has me concerned.

I have forwarded your suggestion to my ClickBank contact

Exactly, and after doing my research there is a very large percentage of products I'd never promote. Once I determine that I wouldn't promote it I'd like to hide the product from ever showing up again in my searches

That is definitely strange. I imagine you have already contacted Clickbank.

Ahh, yes. +1 for a "hide" function.

Have always found CB's marketplace somewhat cumbersome to browse, with one's filtration and ordering criteria not always, if ever(?), being saved when cycling through categories/subcategories. The fairly recent addition of expanded, sliding-scale settings certainly helps, but still something is missing. I think this could be just the ticket.

Great idea, and so simple that I can't believe I haven't seen it proposed before now. Here's hoping it gets implemented, anyhow.

Maybe then I won't need to down 3 bottles of Old Tom, smoke half a pack of fags and take a cold shower just to appease the anxiety of picking products, LOL.
