Too Many People Offers Ads & Not Offering Value..

So FINALLY I've been getting leads for my business and really for now on I will NEVER make another ad again for the rest of my life. Ok well just not in the way I use to do it.

I always thought marketing was about writing incredibly compelling ads, ads that could sell people the second they saw them... and man when I focused on actually delivering value to the world, THINGS CHANGED A LOT!

This is my promise to myself now. For now on, ANYTHING I want to sell, I will first create a string of value, or a "value system", that turns wheels and has a POWERFUL message driving people along to my "offer", which I waste a lot of time to make it not look like an offer at all.

What I do now is ground my message in a way where there are absolutely 0 benefits tied to myself. And where there is nothing but BENIFITS for the people I'm educating.

I wish I wasn't so afraid to talk in depth about what I did, but the way to absolutely make money in marketing, is position & value. How you position the value, then how that value is tied to your "offer". The more people can see that you have something to gain, the less they want to be associated with you (or so I am finding). So I remove that potential immediately. Its the first thing I do now is figure out how I am grounding my message.

Then I do nothing but focus on VALUE. VALUE VALUE VALUE. Think "what type of people am I aiming this at?" How can I make my message seem like "informational crack" to them?

Likely not the best analogy, but I'm so freaking happy I have a real system now that is actually producing some results (and I pieced this thing together all by myself). I feel like marketing actually has 0 to do with marketing and 100% to do with psychology. And thank god I got my degree in psychology because I don't really know a whole lot about marketing in general.

Educational marketing really works, thats all I can really say. And now I'm really begining to wonder what else I can sell to people, because it seems like the sky is the limit here. I feel like for once I see the matrix, this little consumer guide I got out a few days ago already got our business 9 calls in 1 day! Thats pretty incredible considering I was designing ad after ad, without any type of educational system, not getting any results. It wasn't till I actually began educating people, that I started getting leads. If there is anything to derive from this post, its that you need to work harder than just creating an offer, you really need to engineer people, understand that every word you write will either cause a reader to read more, or lose interest.

Took me about 4 days just to do a 5 page guide for instance, but I made that guide so damn potent, grounded my message really well, and now I'm begining to see how marketing really works!

Thanks warrior forum =]

I agree with what you said... At the end of the day you do need to offer a product or a service to make money. I look at it like this:

    1. Connect with your target audience.
    2. Identify problem.
    3. Solve the problem.
