I'm going nuts and need advise please?

As you can see, I'm pretty new to all this IM stuff.
I've been told to attract potential buyers onto your list you need to do a few giveaways.

So I've managed to get hold of some MRR & PLR stuff to give away, only I haven't the foggiest clue on how to create a download page on my wordpress site.

Has anyone any advise on how to do this? Please I'm in desperate need of a little guidance here. :confused:

Any help will be appreciated and as I thank you, as I build my list, I'll endeavour to promote your products for you.

    Hooo, boy. It's a pretty steep learning curve but it sounds like you are moving in the right direction. Logging onto WF is a great first step -- cruise around a bit here.     All of the techie related stuff is given away for FREE on You tube. Just go do some searches with what your having problems with and all of the tutorials have already been done.

    ^Steep learning curve? I'd say what Glen is trying to do is the right path and one of the less frustrating ways to start off, compared to all the other complicated methods out there.

    I absolutely highly recommend downloading OptimizePress ($97) but trust me and alot of other warriors that this $97 will be nothing to what it can do for your business. You can use it for blogs, sales pages and of course squeeze pages which is what you want to do - there are full training videos on their members section once you're in.

    Biggest hint is to make the Squeeze page SIMPLE and straight to the point.

    don't worry man you are absolutely moving in the right direction, I suggest you to read and watch tutorials about your market. Youtube and tech blogs are good places to do it.

    Just upload the .zip file containing the articles to your server. Create a new page, password protect it if you'd like, then put a link on that page pointing to your uploaded .zip.

    Work backwards. First upload your gift(I'm assuming it's a PDF), and make a note of the exact URL where you placed it. You upload it via FTP software. Create a new page through your wordpress dashboard. Don't name it "download". Write a thank you message, and create a link to your uploaded gift(using the URL you made a note of earlier).

    Use this page as thepage that opens when someone clicks to confirm their email addy when they go through your autoresponder. Also, add this link to the post confirmation welcome email.

    It is really simple.

    Go to your Dashboard in Wordpress.
    Go to Media section
    Click on Add New
    Upload your file
    After your file has been uploaded go to the Edit section (in Media)
    Copy the URL for the file
    Paste the URL in a post or page on your site
    You can password protect it under the publishing section if desired

    The simplest way to do is just using a simple squeeze page and invest in to some autoresponder, then grow your list from there. IMHO, the money is in the list, so giving away anything without asking for nothing in return will give you nothing.

    From my experience, I will upload through Cpanel (or you can use FTP).
    1. Click the File manager that is in my Cpanel.
    2. A menu box will pop up. I choose "Web Root (public_html/www)" and from the drop menu, I select the website that I want to use.
    3. Next, I will be in the File Manager Panel. From there, I select the website I want to include the download.
    4. Next, I click the "Upload" button at the top.
    5. You will bring to "Upload file" section. From there, choose the file you want to upload. Once the upload is completed, click the "Back" in the middle of the "Upload file" section. (you will see it, is a clickable link).
    6. Done. Now people can download your product.

    so, the link should should be http://yourwebsite.com/productname.html
