Fiverr ideas/report brainstorming...every niche seems saturated!

I'm somewhat of a newbie to all things online but always wanted to focus on the right niches to capitalize on by generating reports and make a nice side income selling on fiverr.

Problem is....I did HOURS of brainstorming over the last week and lots of soul-searching to discover what areas I am knowledgeable in.....even some really obscure ones such as the practical uses of Law of Attraction and EVERYTHING is saturated! Everything!

I am actually shocked at how late to the game I am in so many targeted niche markets. Literally every time I had a great niche idea and searched it in fiverr....there were DOZENS of gigs already offered with little conversion. It seems like a lost cause at this point and I would love to get any advice you guys might have to help me get back to the drawing board and think of some profitable niche markets I can create reports/ebooks for....and resell on fiverr. Thanks!

Because everyone knows, the trick to fiverr is speed and quality.

Go back to a niche you found and really like and just make your product better. Offer something more with or put your unique twist on it. Then, post it out on all of the fiverr clones too.

  • I am unconvinced that large masses of people go on Fiverr specifically looking for reports and ebooks.

I think they go there for the quirky custom work. Take a look at the green Request Gigs sidebar on any Fiverr page. They're not asking for ebooks; they want creative stuff done.

I talked to a veteran Fiverr seller yesterday who told me he sold 7 gigs for the day...but that's just $35 gross, or about $28 net. You can't live on that in the Western world.

I think there are still opportunities to do online research, as long as you limit the scope of the work so it doesn't take you longer than 15 minutes or so.

Fiverr is looking for freelance writers for its blog. Details here.
Love microjobs? Work when you want and get paid in cash the same day!

Thanks Entrecon and I completely agree Fluffy....they want 100% custom work provided and not so much how-to information. Problem is, like you said, how to provide a service that takes 10 min or less to make it cost-effective.

I would love to focus on my certain skills as a graphic designer but again...COMPLETELY saturated and I am not offering any custom design work for $5, or even $10....just not worth it.

Some folks have created a real nice turnkey, streamlined process for sending reports and ebooks but I find that market to be almost impenetrable because of over-saturation.

You are misisng something here . . what if that gig was a lost leader and you gained a client for one of your premium services? That is where the real money is. One of my regular clients came from a single fiverr gig in January and since I've had $270 from her since. Work requests from her (like many others) is ongoing for me. I'm getting so much 'private' business from Fiverr that I've now suspended most of my gigs on there.

Fiverr is a great place for people to get things done that they don't have the skills for, like designing an ebook cover, a header, banner, sending out promo's to Twitter or building fans for a Facebook page, etc. These kind of gigs will get you many gig sales.

Right, thats why I wanna focus on VERY specific services that can be pre-packaged and send quickly to make it cost-effective. Maybe I need to develop some kickass Photoshop action scripts and focus on that sort of niche within the design indsutry...

Again the feedback is always appreciated guys & gals

Nothing's ever saturated pal. You take the product/service in a particular niche and just improve upon it.

You need luck! It took me 1 months for my VA gig to get my first order. After that, I get repeated customers.

Fiverr.. hmmm. I am Indian, still I wont do services that cheap. May be you need to look for better places to sell your services. Places like Elance(may not be the right place for your skills), where there is better rates for skilled work. Or concentrate on affiliate marketing or something else.

Having done a lot on Fiverr and taught people how to make money there, I don't think it's saturated. What you need to do is present your gigs professionally and offer a variety of things. Even if each gigs gets only a few orders a week, together they add up. Besides, there are evergreen gigs that are never saturated!

Its severely competitive but it gives you the ability to spy on the top sellers and then beat them at their own game.

I don't think ebooks selling is gonna work there. People come to Fiverr to outsource not to get information. There may be some cases but your main concern should be giving your manual services. For example, do some edu. backlinking, create a website for some one, help someone as virtual assistance for fiverr for 30min or hour. This is what fiverr is and the marketplace. Fiverr is used where Robots can not do the work or is expensive. Or you can offer something totally unique by brainstorming more and more. I hope this will help. I am level 2 seller if you need more info just send a pm.

E-books and reports are hard to shift.

If you do know you way round photoshop then get do gigs where you just edit templates, some of the ones I bought recently as a WSO are awesome.

Once you sell enough to get level 1 status add in extras, such as including the .psd file, different size and colour variations, and even a screen capture of what you did. Suddenly the $4 profit is vastly increased.

As kevin said you will get repeat customers if your work is good enough. Taking business away from fiverr is a bit of a grey area, but at the very least you should be including a link back to your main site where higher end purchases are available.

Treating fiverr as a loss leader is the best way to generate serious income. If you're rely on it as a front end profit machine you will soon be disappointed if you live in the western world.

Try reselling the quality fiverr gigs on other places.

I just recently tested out fiverr and honestly it's not worth the amount of work you will be doing. Unless you plan on selling an automated gig that only takes a few clicks to complete, I would offer services on the forums instead.

I don't believe in market saturation. Take the best rated gigs and do the same, but better!
On fiverr, being all stuck at the same price, the one that delivers the most gets the sale.

Ok. I'm going to help you but you need to pay attention and think. Read what you will here:

    1. No niche is saturated. There is no such thing as a saturated niche.

    2. Find the "holes" your competition has. Do some market research. WHAT DO PEOPLE WANT????? Are your competitors REALLY providing what people want or are the people just used to NOT GETTING what they really want....are they used to "settling"???

    3. Find out how to fill those holes....outdo the competition....BE BETTER! BE UNIQUE!!!!

I beat the competition for my niche on Fiverr by finding the holes and filling the holes, and some of my competitors have been doing Fiverr from the beginning of Fiverr.

    4. Also, optimize the hell out of your gig descriptions. Keep trying different keywords...Use up ALL of the new 1200 word description allowance. Get busy.
