What for footers on a site. What is the best use for them.

    Footers keep the words and images on the webpage from sliding off the bottom of the page and making a mess of your desk or your lap.

    They also let you know it's time to stop reading. That's a godsend for some people.

    A footer is where you stuff a lot of less relevant keywords. A header is where you stuff your most important keywords. The body section is where you store the other stuff. Mostly garbage (like this comment).
