Online Marketing & Design - What are Your Predictions Warriors?

Hi guys, my name is Claudio, I've been making money online for almost 2 years now, i have had some amazing success stories during this period of time, but that's another story.

I'm a self-made designer and brand developer, that's what I do, I create things, I love to make the web a sexier place lol, I was wondering, what do you guys think will be the future of design and branding in online Marketing? since competition, markets and customers are evolving, what role do you think designs plays in this whole game? and how can it affect your sales?

    Im going for the "reverse" reply on that one.

    I don't think anyone would doubt the importance of branding, presentation, and of course having the next big thing on our various salespages. (I'm currently experementing with a video where I actually step out from behind my ecover, walk in front of it and start talking to the visitor!)

    But I also think it's important to mention the product you're selling. About 18 mths ago, I created a ebook, which to be honest I put hardly any effort into, and if I'm REALLY honest, thought would be a waste of time, detailing a back-up process for Purchased DVD's.

    It contained links to 3 different apps. All of which were available free online - (And funnily enough also happened to wipe the floor with their premium priced counterparts!)

    It consisted of the links i mention and a 5 or 6 page badly presented PDF, detailing setting up the apps, and that was it.

    With a tag of $12.97 per copy, unbelievably I was making around $300-$400 PER DAY...Selling on ebay ALONE... I didn't even bother setting up a website for it. I did NO PROMOTIONAL activity bar listing it.

    I've never come close to making anything like this on any other product, no matter what I did regarding its promotion or presentation.

    Go figure.
