I have created a page containing Privacy Policy for my site. I have noticed that usually Privacy Policy is normally given in a page form at the foot of site's home & other pages. How it is done. I am using WP.

    Hi cbnet....

It's pretty easy actually....it also depends on what WP theme you are using.

You want to make the Privacy Policy a page and not a post. You can put it in a navigation bar or on the footer. Again, it depends on the theme.

You can also put it in the "Menus" area under "Appearance". You may have to create a menu to do that, but pretty easy.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Designer,

I am using theme twenty eleven on WP. I tried to put About us page in the footer. But perhaps the procedure I am following is not right. I went to Appearance > widget panel. There is option of having three footers by the names 1st, 2nd & 3rd footers. I clicked on 1st footer. A box opened underneath 1st footer. I dragged pages widget from left sub panel & dropped under it. I gave the page title as About us. Then I clicked 2nd footer. a box opened underneath it. I dragged pages widget from left sub-panel & dropped under 2nd footer & named the page as Privacy Policy. I saved all my actions. Now when I view my site, the 1st & 2nd footers (both of them) list all the pages I have created underneath them. Whereas I want 1st footer to list About us page only & 2nd footer to list Privacy Policy only. Obviously, procedure I am following is not correct.

I am totally stuck now & need help badly to understand what wrong I am doing.

    Thanks & Regards.....cbnet

I just make a page call privacy policy and then somewhere put a link (usually as part of a menu) to it.

Edit the footer.php file to include the link to your Privacy Policy page, that's what I do.
