Sites Full of Random Content For Backlinks?
I was looking at a competitor's site to see where he gets his backlinks from and I found several of them here: Home Improvement ideas
This site is pretty much just random content. In fact, I've found lots of sites like this. They're usually generic wordpress sites full of rambling articles with lots of links to higher quality sites. I've been trying to figure this out, and I have a theory.
Google loves sites with tons of content, so some webmasters just make huge sites full of random content then use it to build links to the sites for which they actually want to rank well. They do this because maybe Google will give your site more weight if it has links from a "large" site.
Am I right?
