How much these websites are worth ?

One year ago I've made two websites for affiliate marketing, but so far they've been quite a big failure. Each receive about 550 unique visitors per month, and about 1700 viewed pages. I was thinking about selling them on Flippa, but since it's not free to sell them, I was thinking how much would they sell for ?

They target some sport niche, each have about 15-20 articles and are built on wordpress.

    Do you have any revenue and product sales? With this traffic you could earn $10-$15 a month from Adsense and site would be sold for $50, that´s my opinion.

      In a full year i've sold, with both sites, 150$ of Clickbank products. Just enough to pay for hosting and domains. As for adsense, it's not making anything near 10$ per month, more like 0.50$ per month.

      I did a mistake opening these two websites, I'll let this year go and then close them both next year when the domain expires.

        I don't know that much about Flippa, but you can't blame your sites since they have very a little traffic.

        Why not add some more content and install some good plugins that can help and boost your sites traffic. I don't know what plugins you have there but you should have the plugins included in Free Traffic Getting and WP SEO Power plugins (Google them they are powerful and free).

        Also, for backlinks why not (at least) use ping dot fm that has 40+ social networks included to distribute your content... Also ping every post with pingomatic or pingler.

        For RSS use imtalk dot org

        Once you have the above done you'll have better traffic and better ranking. Then you can go for Flippa (if you'll want that)

          Sounds like your sites have a decent amount of content so I would suggest giving Flippa a go. I've have goten a few hundred $'s for underperforming affiliate sites before.

    I've spent plenty of time on Flippa. I've bought and sold site under the $1k mark. Based on your information and what I've seen they could go for at least $100.

    But there's some more valued-added items you could add like free hosting and/or transfers, revenue and traffic figures, Google rankings, customer support. Help like showing them buyer how to monetize the site further are all things that can increase the value of the site. Hope this helps.

    Thanks for the tips. I've made these two websites one year ago, after reading some "Google Sniper" ebooks. I've thought I could make at least 200$ at month, but that wasnt the case. The point is that I've targeted some sport niche, that I really don't have much knowledge/passion about. I've just followed the instructions on the ebooks, and that's all. A big noob mistake.

    I will follow sabinaadina tip of trying to use some more plugins (I already have some installed), and see what increase in traffic I can get. I've already tried to get backlinks, I have two youtube channels related to the the websites, and got other blogs backlinks, but still the traffic aint increasing (it actually decreased for one of the website: some months ago I was making 700 visits per month).

    This was a big mistake, the result of both ignorance and naivety. I thought it was easy to reach the goal of 200$ at month with these two sites, but that was not the case.

    I will try to add some more plugins, and then open another websites, this time targeting my passion for which I'm already some money every month, and I think by focusing one thing only I could get some success, instead of trying for easy ways.
