    Joomla and Wordpress.

Ease of use, rapid deployment and development. I can make changes on the fly.
As a CMS I can segment my users to see various content.

Quite a few themes, modules and plugins publicly available.
    Google likes them!

Bottom line is that I can focus on content and design and not development and testing.

XSitepro because I can build SEO sites fast and Wordpress because it's the in thing at the moment, which makes it easy to sell the sites if I need to.

Depends on the site and the complexity.

        Wordpress, Xsitepro2, Textpad

Intrigued with Joomla, but don't have time to climb another learning curve...

It depends on the project, but mainly Dreamweaver, and a CMS which can be Joomla, Drupal, Wordpress, Serendipity but I kinda like to test new ones too.

    For design: Photoshop, Illustrator
Coding: Dreamweaver, Firefox Web Developer Toolkit, Firebug
    Animation: Adobe Flash
Video: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Flash

Dreamweaver and NetBeans at the moment, but it varies.

For graphics it's fireworks or photoshop (if i need actions) - I prefer fireworks by a long way but for some reason photoshop seems the norm despite not being made for web design (whilst fireworks is), I just find it a bit bloated.

Lately, I've been using Wordpress a lot. I've been creating static homepages with WP to make the site not look like every other blog.

I started out back in 2001 using Frontpage and I still use today. It does everything I need it to.

Last year, I also learned to use Drupal - it's very powerful but kinda complex. Once you get the hang of it, there is really nothing you can't do or have a plugin created to do. It's amazing as a CMS or to create a social networking site.

For complex coding and stuff, I have a couple of reliable freelance coders who I've been working with for years.

For graphics, it's strictly Photoshop or a couple of freelancers I use. For videos it's Camtasia or my video editing guy.

I've met lots of people over the years by putting projects on Elance, RentaCoder, and even Craig's List. Now I have relationships with these people and I can work with them directly. To be a full time IMer without a big staff, you really need a network of dependable and skilled people who will make time for your projects.

I either use Wordpress (SE friendly with the right plugin, easy to use, time efficient), or just straight HTML coded with Alleycode HTML editor for simple sales pages/squeeze pages.

Drupal is fascinating but I just can't spare the time at the moment to learn the intricacies of it.

I use FrontPage [2003] quite a lot. I know it isn't fashionable and many people look down their noses at it but you can produce a pretty good site.

I also use Serif WebPlus X2 but it isn't so flexible as FrontPage.

For Blogs I have started to use WordPress but I've not yet got to grips with having different templates for different pages and while it has great potential I find it hard to find the time to get down to mastering it. I suppose that whilst I'm happy working with HTML PHP is yet to be mastered.

I'm basically 100% Wordpress these days.

I did use Dreamweaver to make sites the old fashioned way, but few things are easier than plugging in an update, telling it where to go, and hitting Publish. I still use it from time to for specific coding things, but otherwise I'll mess with Wordpress' templates.

Interesting to see that Joomla is lowest in your poll. I've heard so many people talk about it, I expected it to be in the top 3-4.

Since 1998, I've used FrontPage and it's probably the investment in time that I put into learning Version '97 and '03 that keeps me committed. Programmers have told me that FP has sloppy code. From personal experience, I've found that it likes to "change" the code if it doesn't see something it expects. It added about 20 </head> tags at the end of one of my pages. It added more each time I made certain design changes. Since I work in the visual editor, I didn't know that was happening.

Anyway... for now it's FrontPage '03 when I feel like creating or setting up a special site or page. Recently, I started using WordPress on my server to create entire web sites and I must say I do like the latest version.

          Many people have recommended Dreamweaver.

I use wordpress with premium themes, revolution, thesis, remix etc. especially when building sites for clients due to their ease of use.

Xsite Pro2 is a staple for affiliate sites, sales pages. I find it just as easy to update, add content as wordpress and the seo results have been suprising.

Finally I use MS Front Page. If you know where to look there are some excellent template designers - all you have to do is tweak them for your needs. They strip out the bloated code.

    Occasionally I use Kompozer.

    Cheers,

    1. I use Wordpress for my blogs. It is not easy to use for newbies but once you get the hang of it-it's great. Also it has a lot of automatic SEO value creation due to certain plugins. You should know the right ones though.
    2. For static websites I use a tool known as Webpagemaker. It is incredibly easy WYSIWYG tool with a lot of built in templates and libraries, scripts and an FTP program built-in.
