Importance of "search trends" when doing keyword research?
I have found a number of
high traffic low competition keywords with a high cpc, however as google keyword tool takes an average when giving you the search number, i assume that the trend of the keyword, ie. the seasonality of the keyword makes a big difference. Ie. there are some keywords with a high search volume however this is mainly made up from searches in a couple of months of a year, and the rest is low, the same case with keywords that have a search trend that is decreasing more and more over time.
Am i right in thinking that the search trend data is very important? it seems to be a factor that isnt discussed that often.
Looking forward to your replies.
Thanks
