How to protect against people getting your product for Free

This applies to anyone that has a product online or if you dont yet have one its still important to learn this for when you do release a product online otherwise people wil be able to get your product for free

A friend of mine pointed out to me today that i have a gaping hole in my product security. People have been able to get them for free

Ive known for a while that this was possible because i wasnt taking enough precautions with the security of my products but its done now so thats all that matters and i will tell you exactly how to do it and protect yourself against the same thing

of course im not going to openly say how this works for obvious reasons

But what you must do is:

1. Download and install this free wordpress plug in
wordpress.org/extend/plugins/clean-up-wp-head/screenshots/

2. go to settings and tick boxes 4, 5 and 6

3. click save changes

thats it

you are now protected against people getting your product for free

take it from me its worth it

ive recently installed this on all of my products and it works perfectly

hope this helps because im sure theres many of you out there that are leaving gaping holes in your product security and/or you will need this for when you do release your own product online

hope this helps

paul :-)

      This is exactly the point.

Protecting the download page is of very limited value, if you don't also try to protect the product itself.

There's nothing to stop people from uploading it to whatever torrent, black hat, or file-sharing sites they want.

There's a way of strongly discouraging that, although even this isn't 100% reliable, of course: if you use e-Junkie as the product delivery system, you can have the buyer's purchasing details automatically stamped on each page before they download it. Some people will still be able to get round that, if they really want to, but they'd really have to want to. To all intents and purposes, without resorting to using a .exe-file instead of a PDF, it's about the best you can do - and very easy.
