Average price for Complete website setup

What is the average price for a niche webiste to be setup and marketed? I'm thinking about having a bunch of articles created for the website, the article marketing(Ezinearticles) and the autoresponder. Say about 5 articles for the site, 10 for the marketing purposes, 10 for the 10 series autoresponder and an ebook.

Another question is is it acceptable to make up random testimonials for your product because it will take months if not years to get lots of testimonials like you see on every other sale site.

    I know someone who does exactly what you are talking about and he charges like $300. I nearly bought from him, but I ran into a couple of financial snags but the work was top notch. I would pay $3-$500 for something like that personally because it saves you a lot of work.

    I don't know about lying on your sales letter. Some people do it, but a good way of getting TRUE testimonials is to giveaway some copies for free with the stipulation that you will get a testimonial from them.

      Hi Claude, how do I get in touch with this guy? I am new to the Warrior Forum so I am not yet familiar the etiquette and procedures for taking up reccommendations such as this.

      Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Also, I need to get my website up and running quickly, so I am open to other possibilities.

    I can't think of any reason why you would want to start a business based on a lie. Although it may sometimes feel like most testimonials are made up (and I wouldn't be surprised to hear that some are), I believe that they are true testimonials of the product. My guess is that they are acquired exactly how Claude describes.

    As for prices on website setup, your best bet is to post it on Scriptlance and let them bid each other down. You'll be surprised at how low they will go just to get a job and boost their reputation.

      Yes, this is all a murky area. You really do need to get some real testimonials. I've only been a member of this forum for under a week but I already have taken up some invitations to review ebooks or programs and I will give honest opinions. The seller may not want to use them!

      I was in publishing for many years - you know ink on paper - and we always could find something to quote from any review. Also as a reviewer of books I knew that certain combinations of words would always get quoted on the jacket of the paperback edition.

      For example: the dust jacket might say "Truly amazing..." but what I wrote was: "It is truly amazing that anyone would buy this ill written load of crap". Still, it got my name (and my magazine) on the cover of a lot of books and even on a (London) West End Theatre poster.

      Actually, I've rather gone off at a tangent here. It's age you know. Sorry.

      What I was trying to comment on was the need to get genuine testimonials not my past existence as a critic.

      I also get annoyed when I read adverts from "John Smith" telling me how great his new product/program is. It's exactly the same one I got yesterday from "Davie Jones" right down to the photograph of a fat git in front of a BMW (Ugg - I'm a Jaguar man).

      Not only is this stupid marketing it is probably also illegal.

    This is not only unethical it is illegal.

    I would suggest that you go to this site and read before you start a business.

    It is the Federal Trade Commission and it's important that you are aware of the trouble you could find yourself in if you were to continue to act on this kind of thinking.

    I agree, you can't really put down false testimonials. I'm sure some people do but it aint right. As for the average cost of a site, if you were to set some up yourslef using a platform such as wordpress etc then it would cost you very little. These things almost install themselves.

    Get real testimonials. Everyone has friends, right? Give them your product and get an opinion. Not too hard. Stupidly gushing testimonials are a dead giveaway.

    a full site take time or money you make the choice

    there are people on here i see do articles' for $1 and others charge $20 you pick your value point

    There are designers for full graphics at $ 47 and others at $997
    Again pick you level


    Auto responder messages well $1 to $ 20 each again

    and marketed not sure here but around 150 a month on the cheap side

    Ethics cost you have to provide value

    For ever thing else theirs MasterCard

    I run a small business offline and If the website was well designed and could get me traffic and sales for my business i would pay up to $1-2000.

    Around $300-$400 is reasonable for that kind of work.

    Regarding fake testimonials, I won't recommend doing it. As others said, you might land into some serious trouble. A good way might be to give away a discounted copy to a limited number of people and get some testimonials from them. :-)

        If you want to know what happens when you get crosswise of the FTC, look up Frank Kern's story.

        I'm not saying Frank made up testimonials. I doubt his offense was that nefarious. But coming afoul of a government agency with punitive powers and a full stable of career pencil pushers who think getting rich is evil is never a smart thing.

        About the only thing worse these days is to get caught sticking a needle full of horse pee in your butt. Now you have politicians who will stampede their own grandmothers to get in front of a live camera involved...

        Where was I? Oh, yeah...

        One way to get around this is to use indirect testimonials.

        Look at a lot of the diet aids. They say things like "clinical trials prove the ingredient in Lard-Off helps render away the most embarrassing binges..."

        It doesn't say Lard-Off works, it says one of the ingredients showed up in the report of a clinical trial. You have no clue whether the trial passed peer review or not. Yet the average person looking to get out of their fat jeans will see 'clinical trials prove Lard-Off works" and reach for their credit card.

        Cost of a website like you described? I usually get around $2,000.
