Hi my friends

I need help on this one!

I was choosing between sub-domains or sub-folders and i choosed sub-folders as i read that the juice from the links of the main domain will pass to rest of the domain...the problem is that the folders are html sites.

I explain....

What i mean is i got one main domain whatever.com and got a few html sites that i inserted as whatever.com/site1....if i create a post or page like /site1 when i open that page i will re redirected to my /site1 folder...

i named the folders as the name of the keywords im ranking for those folders

How do i rank those folders keywords?...will it work?

thanks a lot

I'm not really understanding you. When you say 'HTML sites', what do you mean exactly, how are they different than the main site? Why/how are you using redirects?

I'd recommend using subdomains (newsite.oldsite.com) instead of subfolders (oldsite.com/newsite/) - they have better keyword prominence and hence mayve easier to rank. Furthermore, sites inside a domain are not usally used as independent sites but rather to strengthen/support the main sites so they essentially should be within the same niche, just targeting different sub-niches (e.g, if main site is on dog training, insider sites could be on dog training collars, dog training books etc.)

With regard to your question - you rank them as normal by building links to the inner domains.

    Hi

Thanks for the ppl that replied and help me to clear this out

Main site is a wordpress site and with a very broad keyword "best*reviews*online.***" and when i say HTML "or should i say PHP" ? sites... i mean those static mini static sites used for Adsense mainly.

    Thanks a lot
