Are you split testing your current squeeze pages?

You do have at least two, right? I hope so.. :-P -> That goes for anyone reading this, too ;-)

Sometimes it's an above-average layout that gets the job done, and sometimes it's above-average word selection.... and some times it's above-average traffic

And nothing can be more helpful/harmful to the squeeze page than the traffic you send it.

I've had squeeze pages that converted well to targeted traffic before - and tested them against less targeted traffic. My results are almost always the same... their conversion rates sink FAST.

Just copying a "successful" or "high converting" squeeze page is rarely enough.

I split test my pages all of the time. For instance, if you click on my signature link now you'll find yourself on a different squeeze page than you would've last week.. haha..

Why is this?

Because I'm trying to find out which style results in the best conversion from this forum.

If you want to generate ideas, try to find some other folks in your niche and click through to their squeeze page. If there a lot of information? Is there very little? How "hard" are they selling you on the idea of pressing that subscribe button? How did you get to that page in the first place? What's being promised in return for subscription?

There are many variables.

In my experience, the best data I have gotten has always come from my own testing.

Cheers,
-Adrian
