Hey fellow warriors!
I am a new internet marketer and I decided to take my first step in internet marketing and build my list! ( yay ) I bought a PLR pack on WarriorForums recently and the pack is jam packed with information. I was planning to separate some of this content and use it for my blog posts and emails. What I am asking is...should I use the main content of the pack and sell it(via emails and header on my site)? Should I promote JVzoo products relating to my niche on the header? or should I be using Google adsense and putting google ads on the header? or should I make my OWN product to sell on my own site? What to do!?

Thanks in advance,
Gavin

You should use PLR for value, ie. offer it free to hook in your prospects.

Promoting your blog is great, but I would use the squeeze page method. Your blog is your authority site so naturally you can do whatever you like on there.

Your own product always wins, but if you're starting out, promote anything you like relating to your niche/initial offer

if its your own personal blog dont ever put google adsense on it, its a very bad move

best way to use PLR is t use it to create more value for your subscribers and then create your own product which you can sell yourself

i never use PLR to create products in the IM niche i always like to do create products from scratch myself so i know they will all be unique

i use my blog and my squeeze page method at the same time and it works very well also if you ever decide to use paid traffic you will need a seperate squeeze page anyway to send the traffic to

    hope this helps

So what you're saying is, set up an ad, and link it to my squeeze page to a product?
(I was planning to build my list and promote my/JVzoo products through email?)

Yes, essentially. Though 'set up an ad' requires alot more effort to pull in the traffic. Just search 'listbuilding' on this site, the topic has been covered many times over with all the necessary methods.

My best advice is to set up the sales funnel and message sequence before you even start to think about what to promote.

If you are planning on using some of the content for your blog posts, I would suggest spending about 10 mins on each of them giving them a quick re-write.

If it was a popular product that you bought, there will be a number of the the other buyers with the same idea.

PLR is a great way to give something away for free to attract new business. You are asking a lot of questions about what you should do, but everyone is going to have a different opinion on how you should monetize. Don't go into information overload which is easy to do, just make a plan and stick to it. If something isn't working find out what the issue is and continue.

      Alright. This is my blueprint:
      - Use the main e-book in the PLR pack and re-word it into my own words (43pages worth of rewriting....yay:rolleyes
      - Utilize the re-worded e-book for the opt-in gift, for their email
      - Use the articles that came in the PLR pack, and re-word it for my blogs, and post twice every week
      - Whilst I am doing the above, I shall write my own e-book by researching on my niche (I am not professional in my niche, I am just interested in it and it may benefit me in the future) and promote this e-book to my list

Anything I am missing/ needs alteration? or am I over thinking it...

PLR is a very dangerous thing for newbies like yourself to use.

What is the url of your blog, why don't you have the link in your forum signature? Have you actually signed up for a service like aweber, and do you have a real passion for the niche you've selected, or are you just targeting it because you want to make money?

I am in the process of creating my blog, I have the site up however I am currently going through the PLR and editing it into my own words(I acknowledge that the PLR pack was bought by several others, hence the content wont be unique if I copy paste, therefore I am editing it into my own words for my blog to be 'unique') I do believe that quality takes time, hence I am not rushing the creation of my blog, however I do have a very detailed guide on how to set up the auto-responder 'aWeber' and will be setting it up when I complete rewriting my articles/content. I have no real passion for anything, and I have no 'special' topic, and this PLR pack came by and it seemed to be very informative (judging by the other testimonials), hence I bought it and the testimonials were right, it had high quality content! That's why I decided to go into this niche.

I don't agree with this statement. PLR is something that can be great for newbies because it can give you a lot of content for very little money. I'm guessing budget is not big right now? I'm guessing you need a lot of content? That's exactly what PLR is for!

Just a word of caution, don't use it as is. Re-write it in your own voice. Here's a recipe I recommend: Create a new title, add a personal introduction and conclusion, pull out bullet points and headings, add your own examples, and change the order around.

These steps will make it unique and take very little time. You can frequently use one piece of PLR to create 2 or 3 articles and that makes it even more cost effective and valuable.

Exactly what I was planning to do. The main product in the PLR package is an ebook that is 43 pages, should I separate it into separate articles?

I suggest using the free PLR content to build a list. Give away a report and get people to sign up for it. You can then use the articles to email prospects with your autoresponder.

I would save adsense for further sites that you build. As another Warrior mentioned its not advisable to put adsense on a personal blog as this may make you come across less serious

If you must use PLR, try to incorporate your personality into it, otherwise you'll appear as another wannabee to your list.

You must distinguish your marketing style and content to drive respect and trust from your list.

Of course, getting sales with plr is more difficult. I'd say, give them away to build a list, then promote to the list after having built up some trust with your list.

You could use the PLR to create some simple videos and post them up to you tube.

Build some quality backlinks to the videos and have a link pointing to your blog or squeze page.

Here is a brief overview of my method for building a list:

Step 1: Create a squeeze page

Step 2: Create a free gift

Step 3: Sign up with an autoresponder

Step 4: Create a new list and opt-in form in autoresponder

Step 5: Connect opt-in form to your squeeze page

Step 6: Drive traffic to your squeeze page

You can use your PLR product as a free gift, so that should make it easier for you.
I'm no big fan of PLR, but it's ok for starters.

Of course, this is the basic of the basics, and there is much more to do, especially
with traffic, which is the lifeblood of every campaign.

As others have said, always think of PLR as a starting point, not the end. It can help you shortcut the research process, which is often the most time consuming part of product creation. So what you want to do is repurpose it and reorganize it so that it packs the most value. How about making a video out of the PLR book? This will greatly increase value. You can easily do this by simply reading the book out loud with points on the screen.

Really? I'm new to the Internet Marketing scene and this is the first project that I'm working on. Alright, so I'm going to be giving out the main product of the PLR pack for the opt-in, but first I'm going to re-write it and make it unique from the others. then I'm going to do research and write my own product to promote for ($) using contents from the PLR pack and also google/other PLR packs. Anything wrong with that plan?
