Rewriting PLR, what is a good unique %

Got abit of writers block so now I'm re writing some PLR.
Am using DupeCop - Duplicate Content Checker - check how unique your rewritten PLR articles are
My rewrite unique % is 64%, is that ok? I guess the only way to know is to submit it. I just want a rough bench mark.

Thank you for reply.

I usually try to aim for 75%, sure it's more effort but it's worth the trade off of google viewing your website with unique and quality content.

I shoot for 70%, but it's kind of an arbitrary number really. Not sure anyone can say with any certainty what the least amount of uniqueness should be. I just know that I feel comfortable using one that's at least 70% unique on my own sites, and I've never had any problems that I know of doing so.

That's cool, I didn't know about Dupe Content Checker - I've got some PLR articles that I need to rewrite, after reading this thread. I will use that service and aim for 75% rewrite. I think that is a comfortable and safe position.

75% is the best bet here, its safe. anything below 50% is just asking for it.

A few of the sites I write for demand a minimum of 40% although I never submit if it's below 60%. I've also set 60% as the minimum on my own site which I'm starting.

        Hope this helps.

If I am doing the rewrite I am shooting for 75% and if I end up in the 65%+ range I don't worry about it. If I contract out for rewriting I am looking for 85%+

    Those are my quidelines,

I used Dupecop after rewriting an article, and it came back to just 35% original. So I also put 2 OTHER articles from the same niche and they came back at 70%! I mean they are DIFFERENT articles yet they come in at 70% so I don't expect my rewriting of the same article to come back this high...

Then for quicks, I put two very different life insurance articles with 2 animal ones, and even then the % was around 75-79% between the life insurance and the animal ones. Bottomline I wouldn't shoot for 70% using Dupecop.

BTW rewriting the article took me almost an HOUR.

How much time does it take you guys to rewrite articles? It looks like "outsource or die" to me, as it's way too long to invest my time doing this. I could flip burgers and pay someone else to rewrite...

75% will get you approved on all of the artcile directories. Try word flood it tells you the % you have changed.

50% is the bare minimum, 75% is good, anything over that is better.

The percentage you hear in most places online is at least 30% and that will work for some purposes. I usually aim for 50% when I am rewriting though.

I've been using a program called SE Nuke which spins my articles and it says maintain at least 30% uniqueness to get past Google's algorithm. Don't know if 30% is high enough but I'm getting top ten rankings with as low as 25% unique content

One question to the OP before I chime in... How will you be using these articles?

Lots of people have quoted various percentages, but they may be working harder
    than they need to.

I've been scaling it back to 50% or so recently - doesn't seem to have had any detrimental effects.
