Default How I quickly grabbed expired domain name.

I was looking for domain solarsprint.com for my son's school project.
It wasn't available so I registered solarpsprint.org
2 weeks after I got email from some "zip domains" that solarpsrint.com can be purchased from them for $100.
In a few hours I got another email from different, even more obscure "domaineer" entity that I could purchase it from them for $99.97.

I wondered and decided to log into my 1and1 panel and try to register this domain. And, guess what - it was available!
I grabbed it for $8.

So these scammers didn't own anything - but if people pay them $100 - they'd grab it and re-sell it right away, pocketing profit.

Although they could be used as a free notificator that some decent domain of interest *just* become available!

Yea I get those emails often as well, sometimes what they'll also do is use a method called "domain tasting" to grab the domain for 5 days and then request a full refund. If they do that, the domain becomes available to register.

Hi, I believe there is a kind of service that lets you know which 'hot" domains are available for register.

If someone knows what that service is for domains, can you please post it, I would be very interested as well.

There are plenty such as expireddomains(com), deleted domains (com) expireddomainsup(com) but all comes with a small subscription fee. I am not aware if there are any free list around.
